  1. Thanks guys for all of the feedback, I think I am leaning toward buying the Curado.
  2. RW any chance you can you explain the difference in the braking system to me in a little more detail. I only hav one BC reel and I guess I am trying to understand what the differences in the braking really mean.
  3. Thanks for all of the feedback, I am going to pair the reel up with one of my two BPS MH 6'6 Bionic Blade rods. I currently have one of them paired up with my KVD Signature Series baitcaster (flippin/pitchin) reel and it works fine. I figured it was time to get a second baitcaster, one a bit nicer than what I currently have.
  4. Sorry, I just wanted feedback from people that owned them to tell me what they think of them. I did not want to start a debate.
  5. That is one nice hawg, congrats.
  6. I am looking at buying a second baitcaster reel and I am not sure which one I should choose. I have it narrowed down to two and would like to hear feedback from those who own these reels. Thanks in advance for your feedback. Abu Garcia Revo STX Shimano Curado
  7. Have fun at the expo guys, wish I had the free time to go.
  8. My boat isn't fast enough to be a problem on the lake. In addition to bringing my bass boat the wife wants me to rent a pontoon boat for two days for the whole family to ride in together. I understand I need the New Hampshire boat license in order to rent it. Can I take the New Hampshire boat license test online?
  9. Guys, thanks for your help. I am leaning toward Meredith because the cottage is a sweet deal and it will allow me to bring the two dogs with us. It sounds like I will be fishing Meredith Bay.
  10. I am looking into places in Meredith, Alton Bay and Paugus Bay. I used to fish up there all the time when I was younger so I know how big the lake is. I do not have a fast bass boat so I will launch it from a ramp near the most productive spot on the lake if I can get some advice as to where that may be from the folks here on the forum. I will only get two days to fish as I have to do the family thing on the other days. So once again any help would be really appreciated.
  11. I am renting a cottage (water front with boat dock) on the lake and I am wondering what parts of the lake are best for bass fishing. I heard Paugus Bay was a good place to go, is that true. What about Alton Bay? Any help you could provide would be much appreciated. I am towing my bass boat about 700 miles to fish this lake.
  12. Mine is $1.03 and it is scheduled for an increase this year again.
  13. I just bought some of the Megastrike and I am looking forward to trying it out.
  14. Congrats to you and your wife.
  15. You can try the Rappahanack River in Fredricksburg, VA down near Fall Hil Avenue. There is a small parking lot and quite a few places to cast from the bank for smallies. You can also try the following lakes in Northern Virginia for large mouths fishing from the shore. There are also locations at Quantico Marine Corp Base if you buy a base fishing permit. Lake Mercer Lake Royal Woodglen Lake Lake Huntsman Burke Lake Lake Barton I hope this helps.
  16. I got my corotozone shot today and my arm feels quite a bit better. One the swelling from the shot goes away I should be back to normal. Muddy, the cortozone shots do help.
  17. Muddy, I have similar issues, I have tnedonitis in my right arm. I went through a round of cortozone shots, they helped for a while and then I eventually had surgery to repair it, that was 6 years agao. Recently the problem resurfaced and I believe it may be due to scar tissue from the surgery, it is vary painful again. I go see the doctor today and I will see what he says. I will let you know later on today but my guess is I need to go back under the knife again to repair it. I also just had surgery to repair a torn tendon in my left hand and it is not looking to good. I will also get answrs on that. If I were you I would look into the cortozone shots first.
  18. I have not got out yet, however I have been receiving reports from National Bass on the potomac river fishing. They are catching bass with silver buddies right now.
  19. WTG Burley that is 100% right. My insurance carrier covers my trailer and I have another policy for the boat. I would recommend getting a policy on the boat if you have not. I just wish VA would implement the boat license and safety course sooner. There are quite a few unsafe boaters out there.
  20. Big O I like clamshells and I appreciate the fact that you are going the extra mile to ensure the integrity of the baits, THANKS.
  21. Great job, those are some nice looking rockfish.
  22. Joe those are some awesome pictures. I wish I knew you could fish there, I could have sent some baits in those packages I shipped you to try over there.
  23. They are in the clam shells, they are just hard to see in the pictures due to the reflection from the flash. Here is a picture of some of my baits with the clam shells.
  24. Steve, thanks for making sure our baits stay ready for use with these clam shells, it is awesome that you are going above and beyond to improve our baits.
  25. I am a huge Pats fan and I would like to see the Ravens win.
