  1. Email Sent, thanks NitroBoy88. It would be awesome to help the soldier fishing with us, we would love for him to place in the top 3 if possible. I know that is difficult since we have never fished there but I am setting our goal high.
  2. Small craft advisory just got posted for this weekend (Saturday morning through Sunday morning) so much for pre-fishing this weekend. > We are going to have to fish next weekend based on our map reading skills and the locations you folks mentioned. I went to Dicks in Fair Lakes and they stopped selling DC fishing licenses.
  3. Thanks everyone for your feedback, it is much appreciated. We will be getting our fishing licenses in the morning from the Harbor Patrol Office @ 550 Water Street, it is located right at the Washington Channel. I saw the river this morning and it looks like chocolate milk with debris in it. Hopefully it will start to clear up some this weekend.
  4. I fish 30lb Suffix braid on my setups, I don't see a need to go to 50lb. That video is ok but they were south of the Woodrow Wilson bridge, we are supposed to stay within the city limits.
  5. Congrats on the anaconda bass, oh yeah that is a sweet setup you got there.
  6. I use the BPS Bionic Blade rods and I think they are really good 2 piece rods, they are just shy off $100. I use them for both my baitcaster and my spinning reel.

I am also a Rage-A-Holic as well and I have almost 200 packs of Rage Tail baits stored in my fishing gear closet. I recently purchased 100 packs in the last two weeks because Boaters World has them on sale for $2.50 a bag. When they reduce their prices again in the next couple of weeeks I may buy all of the packs that are left on the shelves.
  8. Good job Kevin, those are some healthy chunks. I like the pond you are fishing, it looks sweet. You should try some Rage Tail shad or toads through the pads.
  9. Sam, if I am not mistaken we have to stay on the DC side of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. I have been reviewing the Potomac River map and I think I have found a few places to try out this Saturday. I watched Ike's City Limits (Washington DC) fishing show and I made note of the locations where they were catching fish. We will also try those spots out this weekend and see how they are. I just want to find a few productive spots for the tournament.

I agree with Triton21, it sounds like you are rigging your baits incorrectly.

I have been using the Rage Tail baits for a year now and have caught many large bass with them. Rage Tail baits are they only plastics I use any more and I think that they are well worth the money. These baits are designed for targeting big bass and they perform well. Yes they are pricey but I believe the price is worth it because you are buying a high quality bait. Check out the Rage Tail website and look at all of the hawgs that are being caught with the Rage Tail baits.
  12. Does anyone on here fish the Potomac River between the Woodrow Wilson Birdge and the Tidal Basin? My son and I have a tournament (Take A Wounded Soldier Fishing) up there May 16th and 17th and we have never fished that part of the Potomac River before. We will have a wounded soldier with us for this tournament and we would like to be able to put him on some fish so he has a great day. We will be pre-fishing Saturday May 9th so I can try and find a few spots for the tournament. Any help that you could provide would be much appreciated. Thanks, Ron
  13. I have already bought 75 packs of Rage Tail Baits ($2.50 a pack) and about 20 different jigs (foootball, finness & swim). There is going to be another price reduction this Thursday and I will be stocking up on more baits.
  14. Thos are some nice looking hawgs Big O. I am going to have to try using the keel weighted hooks with the anacondas.
  15. I like using natural colors, the green and pearl toad is awesome. I also like the pearl color on the shads.
  16. Nice boat VABasser, enjoy your new ride.

Boaters World in Woodbridge, VA has about 200 packs of Rage Tail baits left. They will also be reducing prices on them again in a week or two. My guess is that they will be $1.25 a pack within 2 weeks from talking to the folks that run the store.

At least 200 more packs were left on the shelf yesterday. I like using the green pumkin, watermelon and junebug here in northern va.

Boaters World has the Rage Tail Baits on sale for $2.49 a pack. This is due to the fact that all Boaters World stores are cloing in June. I bought 41 packs yesterday and I will buy more when they reduce the price again in two weeks.

I have had good success with all of the Rage Tail baits.
  21. Try throwing some of the Rage Tail plastics from shore.
  22. Depending on the size of the trailer you want I would go with Rage Tail, either the chunk, craw or lobster.
  23. The Anacondas come in 7 inch and 10 inch.

The space monkeys are also awesome for flippin docks and brush.
  25. I would have to say the lizards right now with the spawn upon us.
