I have not had any issues with the shad but I only purchase the ones in the clam shells. I have heard others complain about the shads that were not packaged in the clam shells. One other thing is I keep my rod tip slightly elevated when retreiving the bait.

I don't like when people pull big fish out to keep and eat. I know we are all allowed to keep and eat fish but when people pull the big fish out it hurts the fishing for us all. I have no problem with people keeping smaller fish to eat though. Someone needs to talk to that person and explain the reasons for taking the smaller fish rather than the larger. If people keep taking big fish it will hurt the fishery for sure.

I would have to agree with RW, most of the problems with the Rage Tail baits are due to rigging it incorrectly. Watch the video of Big O showing how to rig the bait that RW posted, it should help you out. There is also rigging instructions (pictures) on the Rage Tail web site.

Well now, I don't know about these hooks specifically, but high quality hooks are a must if you think you might ever have a shot at trophy bass. Hooks are THE most important fishing gear you own. 8-) I am with RW on this one and I will try them out.

Were the toads you bought packaged in a clear clam shell? I am just curious because they would be older packs of baits. I usually can catch a few fish per toad when I throw them. How were you fishing them? Were they getting hung up on structure? I make sure that I purchase the ones that are packaged in the clear clam shells. As for the shad, they work awesome.

You will not be disappointed, the toads are awesome baits. I have caught more bass on the Rage Tail toads than any other bait that I own.

Walney Pond is a nice little pond and it has a few nice keepers in it but it can be tough fishing there sometimes. There are many other places that are better to fish in Northern Virginia.

That entire section of the keel cover (where it looks like it has a saw tooth pattern) is missing, a section approximately 1 foot long was torn off the boat.

There is approximately a one foot long piece of the allumium keel cover that got ripped off of the boat.

Any idea how I can fix this damage to my aluminum hell/keel? I hit an under water piling at full speed today and did the damage. The boat does not leak but I am concerned because of the location of the damage. The aluminum got ripped right off like I used a can opener on it. Any help would be appreciated.

Congrats on the nice looking hawg. I am a huge Rage Tail fan, they are the only plastics that I use. I caught 20 bass with the Space Monkey today while pond hopping.

Dan, you should resize pictures before posting them to make them easier to see. You have some nice fish in those pictures, glad you guys had a good time out on the water.
