Lake Audubon and Lake Thoreau in Northern VA
After doing some research it looks like these are most likely private lakes. Can some one ahed any light on this. There appears to be a community association that manages these lakes.

Lake Audubon and Lake Thoreau in Northern VA
Has anyone fished these two lakes? They are near the Reston National Golf Course. It looks like Lake Audubon has a boat ramp with four parking spaces for a tow vehicle and trailer when I look at it in googlemaps. I am curious if these are private lakes or public and what restrictions they have on boats. I am also curious if anyone has caught any LMBs there.

NOVA guys. I have to do it.......
You would have to walk a few miles if you were going to walk all the way around the lake. I have walked around it a few times, it takes a few hours with stopping here and there at different spots. Good luck and let us know how you do. Post up pictures if you catch any. I would probably work the stump field that is where the warmer water is. Oh yeah, to the forum Knownfactor.

Burke Lake
I had everything that was required.

Woodglenn Lake
Anyone can fish the lake, you need to find a place to park to access the lake. There is one cul-de-sac that JCrzy4Bass and I park on but I forget the name of it. You access the neighborhood via Zion Drive. JCrzy4Bass caught a nice 3lb lmb over there last time we went out.

You can launch a jon boat if you can carry it to the lake. I would use a canoe if I had the opportunity,

NOVA guys. I have to do it.......
I can imagine that must have been brutal out in a canoe. My boat got blown around quite a bit today due to the wind gusts. Rob, was the water stained at Mercer?

Burke Lake
Chai, Thanks for helping Jason get the boat off the trailer. Next time I launch there I will hook up the rope to the back of the boat which will make it easier to get the boat off the trailer. That lake is real low and I appreciate the extra help. Congrats on the catch today, I am looking forward to seeing the picture. Ron

Burke Lake
They were cool, they were also very thorough which I guess is a good thing. Rob the water was crystal clear. I caught a dink, Jay hooked into something big that was pulling line from his reel but lost him.

Burke Lake
I don't know, he just asked if I had any. That one didn't seem like he really cared about the answer because they didn't check that one off on their list.

Burke Lake
My son and I were out on Burke Lake today and we were lucky to experience a visit on the water by the VDGIF Game Warden for the first time, man were they thorough. They had a clip board with them and checked everything on the boat as well as our fishing licenses. When we got back to shore I asked how often the game warden is at Burke Lake and was told they have one on permanent assignment, he is there every day. Guys make sure you have everything with you. I guess they are cracking down on this lake due to the large volume of boats on the water. After they were done they headed over to another boat in the cove we were in and I am sure they were going to experience the same fun we did. One thing that was kind of funny was that their outboard almost wouldn't start back up, I wanted to laugh but didn't. Things He wanted to see: Boat registration Fire extinguisher (he had me take it out of the boat so he could inspect it) Fishing licenses (my son's and mine) Emergency aids/devices (I showed him my flare gun and radio) PFDs (personal and throw)

Tail Dance
I decided to try some topwater fishing today and threw out a jitterbug. I go a massive, violent strike. The lady about three pounds best I could tell, she danced on the water (on her tail) and then spit out my jitterbug. By far the most entertaining LMB I have seen to date. After I reeled in my jitterbug she danced again with no lure in the water it was sweet to watch. I wish I could have taken a picture of it.
