I just send mine from my phone (via cell phone service), buy my service covers sending text and pictures.. If you can't do that then go to the carrier that you bought the phone from (i.e. Verizon, Sprint, AT&T etc.). Let me know how you make out today.

Good luck Rob, I hope you catch a a hawg. I want to see a picture if you get one. They were hitting crankbaits for me Wednesday however they may have moved to the back of the lake. I didn't catch any Thursday or Friday on the crankbaits. I saw a guy in a canoe catch a couple of hawgs over at the stump field the last couple of times I was there (Thursday & Friday). He was nailing them on a black jig with a trailer, I don't know what kind of trailer because I wasn't close enough to make out what it was. The water was pretty clear the other day however with the rain I am sure it will be stained tomorrow. I would meet you there but Jay and I are launching the boat on Burke Lake in the morning. I will be out on Burke Lake tomorrow with my son. I am launching my boat there for the first time. If I were you I would work the two sides of the lake and maybe the back side of the lake near the stump field (tree stumps in the water). The bass are moving to the back side of the lake, moving to shallow water. Good luck, let me know how you do. Ron

Andy, I usually go down Huntsman Blvd and take the first right after the lake. You will have many places to park on that side of the lake and you can work that whole side. There is a problem though, it looks like they have drawn down the lake (lowered the water), it is extremely low right now. I wish you luck on your fishing. You are going to have to cast a ways out toward the middle of the lake and work your bait back to you. I have had good luck with crankbaits there this year but the water is pretty shallow and they can get hung up easy if you are not careful. Good luck and let us know how you do. Oh yeah wear your boots if you are going to walk the shoreline, it is pretty muddy right now, I was there for about an hour today. If I were going out I would try another lake, like Royal, Woodglenn or Mercer. Flippin4it may be able to point you to some other lakes to. Ron

There is no access to the lake. They closed off the road to keep us fisherman out. It is time to contact my County Supervisor and complain. I think any and all fisherman in Prince William County should contact the board of suervisors and ask them to open this lake up for us.

Heading out now, if anyone wants to fish come out there and we can pick apart this lake.

This used to be a private lake and it was recently given to PWC via a land grant. They are eventually turning it into a park. They are currently trying to decide who is going to manage it.

Out past Gainesville, want to go Andrew? New place without a lot of pressure.

I am going out to Silver Lake in a hour or so. Any Northern VA folks want to try fishing this lake? Ron

I would say the only way you are going to catch something is to rent a boat. I think they rent jon boats and canoes. Fishing from the shore will be tough, just my opinion.

Well, I spent the day out at the lake and the only thing I got was a tan, no fish for me today. It was nice to meet Chai and Rich for the first time. Andrew it was cool to fish with you again, I just wish we caught one today, but there is always next time.

Thanks guys, the only thing that would have made this catch better would be if my son had been there fishing with me. After all if it was not for him I would have never known about Lake Mercer. I hadn't been fishing in years and he decided that we were going to start spending quality time together fishing. So last fathers day he bought me a new rod and reel as a gift and we have been sharing a lot of great times together since then.
