  1. Sounds good. I'm either there or at Huntsman every Sat and Sun. PM me when you're going
  2. It's just a normal LMB that breeds with it's sister
  3. Where did you get the map?
  4. I'm actually a kayak fisherman too! I went out there once, but only had about an hour and a half, so I stayed near the launch. Hoping to go out over the long weekend and spend more time scouting. I did find a HUGE flat downriver of the launch that seems unreachable to normal boats, but perfect for kayaks. I pulled a couple LMB out of some fallen trees, but nothing over 2lbs
  5. Any forum members fish out of Bull Run Marina? I recently got my key and wanted to see if anyone more familiar with the water has any info they would share.
  6. That's Lake Dixon in Escondido. I grew up fishing for trout there. FML...
  7. Just curious... Seeing as how many soft plastics come as "Salt Impregnated," and usually have a few grains of salt present in their pouches, I began wondering... Does anyone ADD salt to the pouches? Obviously not iodized salt, but Kosher or Sea Salt? I usually transfer soft plastics - Senkos, etc... - to other baggies to organize them, and wonder if adding some salt may give them an extra boost. Lemme know if anyone does this, and if it works or not. Thanks!
  8. Hey guys. I'm not the most experienced bass fisherman in the world. Grew up in southern California fishing for trout in a lake i recently learned has produced the numbers 10 and 13 largest largemouths in the US, *Kicks himself*. Lived in Texas briefly and had some pretty good luck with bass there, but not here. NOVA. Hit Burke a couple years ago; nothing. Hit Fountainhead last Saturday; nothing. VERY curious about Brittle... Brittle is only about 10 minutes from my house, and I have lots of time to go there if it's any good. I know it has pretty good Walleye fishing, but that's all I know. Does anyone have any input on this small lake?
  9. Here is the absolute best way to fillet a bass, hands down: 1. Catch a beautiful LMB in the 3-6 pound range 2. Take a quality picture of said fish 3. Catch 10-20 crappie 4. Release bass 5. Fillet crappie and cook 6. Eat fillets and admire picture of beautiful bass never tasted better.........
  10. 1997 Dodge Ram 2500 8.0L 488ci V-10 with performance chip, flowmasters, 35" all terrain's, 6" lift, 4WD, just over 500hp on dyno!!!! But, unfortunately, when you only get 7 mpg highway it takes you a while to save up for that boat. Maybe next year.

The wind can be your friend in fishing. Focus on areas near the bank that the wind is blowing onto. wind can concentrate baitfish near the shores and it helps you avoid being seen by the fish.
