Rob, Yes I am using a Rapala digital scale that I purchased about 6 weeks ago. What do you mean by based on my pics? Are you trying to say that they are not as heavy as my scale shows? I calibrate the scale so it reads "0 lbs 0 ozs" before I put any fish on it. I am going back to Mercer again this morning to catch a trophy LMB.

I had the best day fishing today that I have had all season long. I caught three nice size LMBs for a total of 10.75 lbs. The first was 1.75lbs, the second was 3.5lbs and the third was 5.5lbs. What a great day, I guess the man upstairs was helping me out today. Here is the picture of the 5.5lb LMB my new personal best.

Well guys I got bored sitting home after Jason and I fished Mercer this morning. I decided to go back after lunch and give it one more try. I have to say that I am glad I did because I now have a new PB. Check out the hog in the picture, 5.5lbs. What a great day fishing, the man upstairs really took care of me today.

Went to Mercer today and had a good day as well. I used crankbaits and Rat-L Traps and a Rapala SSR7. I caught four LMBs, two dinks, a 1.75lb LMB and a 3.5lb LMB. Here is the 1.75lb LMB.

Dominion Dan, I just took your advice and replaced the hooks on both of the lures that I had problems with, the Rat-L-Trap and the Rapala. I figured I would do both since I have had the Rapal for a while and the hooks did not seem that sharp. I only wonder what damage I did to the lunker LMB when he fell off as I had him almost completely out of the water when he came off.

Rob, Sounds like you had a good day. I am going there tomorrow morning and I am hoping to finally catch something in that lake. I have only been there once and I got skunked back in the middle of the summer. Hopefully I will have a good day tomorrow.

I fished Huntsman this afternoon and caught one LMB and lost five when I tried to pull them up by the rocks. One of them was a lunker, man was I hot. I am guessing by the size of him when he fell off the Rapala SSR7 lure was about 3.5 to 4lbs. I have never had this kind of luck fishing before (loosing 5). I lost four on my Rat-L-Trap and the one on the Rapala.

I am planning on going there early morning while my family sleeps in. I will be there when they open, buy my stuff and come back just in time to start cooking side dishes to go with the turkey. I have worked in the high tech industry where working holidays is the norm. It all boils down to how much you need the job, I always got paid double time so it wasn't that bad. I understand the family thing but I also understand the providing for my family thing.

I am going smallie fishing for the first time tomorrow on the Rappahannock river, I bought some new tubes and inserts, mann's minus1's and some jigs. I am pretty psyched to catch some of these fiesty guys. I hope to put up some picture tomorrow night.

Well I guess I am out of luck. I do not want the Lake Braddock people yelling and screaming at me to get away from their lake.

I caught this 34 inch, 25lb plus channel catfish on a Booyah Boogie Bait.

I have to work tomorrow night and I have a free day so I am going back to Lake Huntsman tomorrow morning. Any one want to go? I plan on being there around 7:00AM over at the cove to the left of the dam.

I had cast about halfway into the cove and pulled him out of there. I did see an extremely large fish jump out of the water on the other side of the lake. If it was a LMB, I would say it has to be trophy size, unfortunately I could not tell what kind of fish it was because it was to far away. This fish made the largest splash I have ever seen made by a fresh water fish.

Nice fish PK, I only caught a dink at Lake Royal the other day.

Well I fished Lake Huntsman this morning and ended up catching one LMB 2lbs 10ozs. I caught him on my Manns crankbait. There is access all the way around this lake for those of you that did not have a chance to walk around the lake.

I am headed out to Lake Huntman in about half an hour and I will be there all morning. Any one want to fish today?

Andy, I guess you must have caught your limit yesterday when you kicked my butt at Lake Royal.
