Father and son private pond outing
Here ia my extremely large catfish (estimated 25-28lbs) 34 inches. I just looked at the VDGIF web site and found out that he was definately a citation fish, I will be submitting my paperwork this week. The size for a citation is either 12lbs or 30 inches, I easily beat both of those.

Good write up of our day Jay, congrats on the multi-lmb day. We had an awesome day thanks to my friend and I can hardly wait to go back again. Here is my 1lb 15 oz LMB.

Mattawoman Creek, MD
What a tough day of fishing today at Mattawoman, 1-3 foot swells in the Potomac and 20 MPH winds. It was also low tide so the grass beds were everywhere. I got skunked on my last boat launch of the year but at least Jason caught two fish, a perch and a pickeral.

Local Pond
I went to the local pond today and fished for about 1.5 hours. I tried senkos, spinners, top water rapalas and had no luck. I decided to throw my zara spook out and on the second cast, wam an LMB exploded on it and put up a heck of a fight. I pulled it in and attached the picture below, 2.4lb LMB.

A Class Act...
The entire team is like this, they are all a class act. Last year Curt Schilling helped out a family on Extreme Home Makeover.

Check out these pictures from one of their plane flights during the season. I figured I would post these for my fellow Red Sox fans.

Pats or Colts next sunday
If you don't want a team to run up the score on you, put a defense on the field that can play. This is the NFL not pee wee football!!! Stop the whining about running up the score.

Pats or Colts next sunday
The Titans and Jags are a joke period, they are marginal teams at best. When is the last time either of them won a playoff game? For that matter how many times in the last couple of years have either of these teams made the playoffs. Like I stated that division is not a tough division to play in. The PATS will win by 21!!!

Mattawoman Creek, MD
Jay, Steph and I will be going back to Mattawoman Creek tomorrow most likely our last trip to this location this year as I will be winterizing the boat in a couple of weeks. I am hoping to catch an LMB on a crankbait for the first time, I bought some new ones last night and am looking forward to trying them out. I will also use my swim senkos, my go to bait as well. Hopefully tomorrow night I will be able to post some pictures of some good size LMBs in this thread. It would be nice to finish up this year in Mattawoman Creek with a nice catch. Jay, make sure you and Steph bring your A-Game so we can load up the live well.

Pats or Colts next sunday
Matt, Lets look at the facts: The Pats are number 1 in total offense and number 1 in passing. The Pats are number 3 in defensive yards per game. The Colts are number 3 in total offense and number 6 in passing. The Colts are number 4 in total defensive yards per game. My money is on the Pats!!! Brady is going to eat up the Colts and spit them out. No one in the Colts defense is going to be able to stop all of the talented receivers (Moss, Welker, Stallworth and Brady to name a few) on the Pats. They are going to have to double cover some of the Pats receivers, when they do Tom Brady will pick them apart. The Pats also have solid depth at running back (Maroney, Evans, Morris and Faulk). New Englands defense will also contain Manning because of all the talented defensive players (Bruschi, Vrabel, Seau, Wilfork, Semour, Harrison, Samuels and Thomas to name a few). This game will not even be close, the Pats will run up the score on the Colts just like they did on the Redskins. As for respect, please the Pats have always been disrespected time and time again, so put the argument to bed, it means nothing. Peyton has won the last three matches but he will not win this one, the tables are about to be turned back in favor of the Pats. Who have the Colts played that are worth talking about, no one, their schedule has been a joke. The Colts have not been as impressive as the Patriots and they are not as hungry for the win as the Pats. I just don't want to hear you whine like the Redskins fans when Indy is blown out. This is the NFL and running up the score just means you want to prove how dominant you are, and the Pats will do that again this weekend. Pats win by 21!!!! Ron

Crankbait Advice
Thanks for the advice guys, I guess the bait monkey is going to steal my wallet again (the wife is going to be upset again). I did just catch my first LMB on a Rat-L-Trap yesterday. That lure runs pretty deep unless you bring it in quickly.

Crankbait Advice
All, I am looking for some advice on crankbaits. I have been using swim senkos eclusively the last 6 weeks and need to start fishing deeper waters now. Now that fall is here and the temps are dropping I need to start fishing deeper waters. Any ideas on some good crankbaits that will run between 5 and 10 feet? This is where I am seeing the bass on the fish finder. I have have ones that will run deeper, but I want to work the 5 to 10 deep range. Thanks, Ron

Lake Jackson
Welcome to the forum. This is a private lake, unless you own property on or around it with access rights in the deed, you can't get on it. A guy I work with lives on the lake and I hinted around about fishing on it but could not seem to get him to grant me access to it. I have heard there are some decent size LMBs in it..
