  1. X3 on the finishing nails. I love the fluke and when I need a little deeper, I just put a nail in it.
  2. I also like to stick with the slower stuff.
  3. Yelp, This is what I have and they have been a better battery than any of the others I have used.
  4. I have 3. I keep all my confidence baits in one and it stays in the boat, I will resupply as needed. The 2nd I keep all my soft plastics in and it mainly stays in the boats as well. The 3rd I keep new lures and such in it...I will take it out and go through and pack what all I think I may need or something that might be productive for the water/conditions I will be fishing in.
  5. Well 2011 will be my first year fishing in a club so I am going to try to be AOY in the club standings. On my actual fishing I am trying to learn to be more versitle. Right now I am very good at finesse fishing but when it comes to throwing a spinnerbait...well I might as well just go home. Try to remain focused throughout the day and keep in touch with the fish. I have had problems before of not moving as the fish move.

  8. I done it for years. It worked fine for me but I did have troubles with some buzzbaits, I just didn't have the speed it needed. I learned this year to use baitcasting equipment and have found that I like it alot better for most things and the spinning real still plays a valueable role in my arsonal.
  9. I mainly just cast and retrieve. If you like a steady retrieve try using the new style Flukes with the paddle tail. They seems to work well for that.
  10. I have been trying to learn to use them and I am having a hard time catching anything. Seems like the fish around here just don't like them ;D
  11. When a seasoned fisherman was teaching me to T-rig his statement to me was "Watch your line and feel at the same time, When in doubt set the hook" After hooking a few large rocks and many trees I finally learned what was going on. P.S. Watch for the flying weight if there is no fish there when you set the hook.
  12. I am right handed and also prefer a LH in both types of reels, I don't like making the cast and then being caught off gaurd by a sudden strike while the rod is between both hands....just my 2cents worth.
  13. Has anyone had a chance to see these boats and find out what kind of quality that they are made with or maybe even heard some performance data on them. I was looking at 18 with a 115. Thanks.
  14. I prefer Quantum reels, The baitcaster "energy" seems to be holding up fairly well for me.
