As I get ready to really dive head first into tournament fishing I am asking for everyones help. What is the common mistakes that you usually see begining tournamnet anglers make? **COuld be at launch, while fishing, or maybe after everything is over.

Where did you catch it? Bluestone?

My boat is needing new ones as well. It has had Everstart for 6 years with no problems, I think i will stay with them. WalMart sells them for $78.

My ShakeyHead: Quantum PT Tour spinning rod 6'6" with a Cardnial reel. I use 8lb BPS Excel Mono in low-vis geen. I carry several sizes of hooks, head types and different weights but usualy around 1/8oz on a ball jig head works the best for me. NOw for the baits I use it varies a lot, It all depends but I usually stick with smaller baits...a 3 or 4" Yum Dinger, Ring Worms or even 4" lizrds.

Yum dinger or a 4" Lizard on a split shot rig with 6 - 8lb florocarbon is one of my favorites.

American Shad and Chartreuse Shad are my favorites.

I'd like to have a BassCat Sabre with a 150HO. Hopefully someday I will be able to get one... ;D

This is the same as I am. I usually only go 1 day on the weekend though so that we do have sometime to spend together The way I feel about having the monkey control me is, I don't drink, do drugs, gamble or party so If all it takes to make me get "high" is to spend a few dollars a week on new baits that I never fish with then I am doing pretty good!

Cabin Creek is my favorite and will use Zoom as a back up.

I haven't used them but my Partner does. He has a good hook up with them and the are sharp!

Fishing Rhino has a good idea with the wood top and seems to be a popular way of doing it when i was searching to do my jon boat..I went with toggle bolts and aluminum plate mounts. They have held 250lb me just fine no movement at all. I can lay back twist and lean foward and the seat it solid! Here is a picture. I think the general idea could work for you.

I have some that are a darker smoke with gold flake. They are made by Cabin Creek Bait Co...but I htink they may have discontinued them becasue I bought them on clearance sale. If you would like I can try to get some pictures of them up.

Thats a good idea, I am gonna try it!! I fish with the grubs a lot. I have always called them spider jigs. My favorite is a Cabin Creek Bait Co. Spider jig on a 3/8 head.

I have a BPS Crankin Stick and I love it.

I use spinning gear, a Quantum Energy PTi30 and a 6'6" MH rod. I use it with 10lb. BPS Excel Mono. I use Lucky Craft pointers mostly.

BPS Extreme, Very good reel for the money and they have several left hand models to choose from.

I prefer BPS Excel for a mono. Florocarbon I like Berkley 100% or I also use Vanish. I rarely ever use braid but when I do I use Suffix Elite.

I amgoing to try to make them first. I figure it is winter time so should help pass some time, and if it works I will get some joy out of knowing I made them. Thanks Ima Bass Ninja for posting soem pics of yours.

I also like to Deadstick them at times...it takes a lot of patience but it sometimes will bring the big ones out. It can also give you time to relax and take a look around at the scenery.
