Favorite Fishing pictures?
flipin4bass - Thanks for the comment, It is located on the Kanawha River looking down stream at Charleston, WV. MonteSS - that would make a great pic. to put in a frame in the fishing room. The bouy in the center really sets it off!!

I was thinking of adding tubes to mine but after researching it I believe I will be using some type of rod sleeves.

Rod Sleeves
I am in the market for 10 rod sleeves. I was looking at all the different ones and have even found a few people selling homemade ones. Anyone here ever make their own? I was thinking a little experiance with the sewing machine and I could make my own... If you have purchased them is there some better than others?

I have been watching it, I don't like it but somehow manage to put up with it...

Chartreuse jigs.
I use Chartruse grubs on a jig head to fish lay downs. I flip it the same as a jig.

Favorite Cover to Flip?
Mine too.

Favorite way of casting.
Sidearm/ spinnerbait roll cast. I have never really perfected the overhead cast and it seems I always end up 30ft in the trees. ;D I also enjoy pitching.

Baitcast Reels size help
I too was using Silver Max's for a while and started upgrading from them. I have found that the Abu Revo S is very close to the same size and feels maybe even a little smaller. I like the Revo S but to get different ratios you have to buy difernet models. I kept looking and have settled on BPS Extremes. Every ratio has a LH model available and they are not as expensive. The Pro Qualifer is also a very good reel but a little extra $$.

How many different brand plastics do you use?
I'm not loyal to any company. I have everything from Custom Hand Poured to Zoom..I just go with whatever I like or think will work well.

my first Lucky Craft
Sammy in MS American Shad has always been productive for me.

4" ringworm's
One of my confidence baits!! I fish them on a Texas rig with a 2/0 hook and 1/8oz weight. I prefer Lucky Strike or Yum.
-
Best most productive presentation for a finesse worm
I usually always Texas Rig them, but use varying weights and sometimes to weight at all.

What 5?
Your tournament fishing. You can only carry 5 rods, what would you chose? Not really looking for brands but say something like this to cover the technique. 7' MH fast with a 7:1 reel for flipping

Sharing Expenses
I'm right there with ww2farmer except I don't expect gas money for my truck. I feel like that goes with owning the boat. Without the truck I couldn't have the boat. But I also live off the beaten path so I also don't want to charge someone money because I live further away.

PreTournamnet Jitters
;D I've tried that....it just makes the tiredness worse.

PreTournamnet Jitters
So I have decided to fish a club this year and give it my all. Here is my problem though, I have fished a couple small "jackpot" tournaments before and I get so excited, nervous and anxious the night before that I do good if I get 2 hours sleep. Then by 10 o'clock in the morning I am completely dead and have trouble really giving a full effort. How do you stay calm or relax to get enough sleep? I know I would do a lot better if I just relaxed the night before.

Cabela's EXCELLENT cust service story ! :-)
Thats great!! I had ordered some seats from them and one of them had been cut with a box cutter, The knife was still laying in the seat!! I called and talked to them and explained, They shipped a second and it was the same way. I called back and they next day'd me a new seat. It was a hassle at first but they made it right so like you, I have been a customer because of it.

BPS Z9R Swimbait
Out of the water mine is very flexable. It will "wiggle" just by blowing a little air on it but it won't do anything in the water.

couple of questions: Drop shotting and Fising Flukes
Welcome aboard!! I can't really answer your drop shot question but I can the fluke. It all depends on how deep you want to go with it. Generally speaking I fish mine weightless on a 6'6" spinning gear with 12lb mono.
-
Jigs that rattle or don't rattle?
I am like most others. I usually only use rattles in dirty water.
-
BPS Z9R Swimbait
I have one and I can not get it to swim. I have tried several times with varying retrieves and had no luck..
-
Shakeyhead ???
3/16 generally but all depends on conditions.
