  1. Well I just bought a St. Croix Legend Tournement rod and a Revo STX. I have fished it once (the first day i got it from UPS), and when I brought it inside I noticed two nicks in the caramic inserts on the first guide from the bottom and the third guide from the bottom. I took my line and rubbed it against the nicks to see if it would do anything and it really didnt do anything, but im worried that if the line caught it right then it would fray my line. Should i send the rod back to St. croix and get it replaced or should i not worry about it? What would you do? Oh yeah and i also bought the rod from Reeds.
  2. Jameson used to be public i think, but now its private to people who own houses around it.
  3. which is why you should spend half of the money on a rapala rapalas have 7-12 epoxy clear coats and the epoxy will get scratched but the actual paint will not, and you can brush on some clear fingernail polish over the epoxy scratches and you cant see em anymore. its too bad bandit and lucky craft do not have epoxy clear coats : i knew you would have to come in here somewhere dave and support rapala :
  4. Yup same here the more beat and battered the better if u r worried about um getting scratched hang um up on ur wall ;D I am not worried about them getting scratched up, i was just wondering why this was happening. they are fishing lures, they are meant to be scratched up and beat up from use. The fish in my avatar was caught on a scratched up bandit.
  5. Thanks for the response guys. I figured that the scratches were from the hooks. I still catch fish on the scratched baits, so i guess it really doesnt matter.
  6. Recently i have been finding semicircular scratches on my hardbaits. these are round the front treble hook and are really annoying me because it ruins the look of the hardbaits. I was wondering why this is happening and is there any way to stop this. This has happened to lures i have fished and not fished, and even on a lucky craft jerkbait. i can not post pictures now, but i will if they are needed. Thank you for the response in advance.
  7. Thanks for the input guys. I'm glad that you have had success with them, so the 15.99 wasn't a waste. Dave, I'm not sure if they had the 7in. but i was in a hurry so i didn't look to good.
  8. Awesome post. I am Proud to be a Bass Fisherman
  9. I have just recently purchased the 3/4 oz Magic Swimmer by Sebile. I tested the action and it looked great. I was just wondering, have any of you used them and had any success with them? Thanks in Advance.
  10. Yeah when I'm in a tourney I will net the bass, other then that only on big fish.
  11. I was just wondering if you guys use a net for landing fish? If so why? If not why not?
  12. Jerkbaits, definitely going to use them more this year.
  13. What if you have dents and lumps you can feel and see in the line. By the way it is 50lb power pro.
  14. How often do you replace your old braid with new braid? Also is there a way to break braided line when you have a snag, and left your scissors behind?
  15. Not to jack this thread but, what grit sandpaper do you use to remove old paint on cranks?
  16. Thanks for the input guys. I think that will be the rod I will go with.
  17. Thanks for the information. Yeah I am sticking with St. Croix.
  18. I am looking for a casting rod that I can use for topwater (mainly buzzbaits and poppers). What is the recommended action?power?length of the rod? Also if you think this rod could double for any other techniques please say what they would be. Thanks in advance
  19. Soft plastics, such as Trick Worms and Senkos in Green Pumpkin. Also I will throw crankbaits in Tennessee Shad or other natural colors. I will also throw smaller jigs such a Strike King Bitsy Bug.
  20. X2 don't waste your money on infomercial lures.
  21. Beautiful Fish. Congrats
