Max 150 H.P. Circuit
Alabama is a stretch for a tow for me. I may just do it anyway. Heck, it's a chance to see the grandbaby in Birmingham. Great excuse.

FLW on Falcon-The guys were rescued from the Mexico side
After all the turmoil on thursday all boaters are back on US soil safely. It took an illegal entry into Mexico during the night to rescue them though. Not all boats were recovered. D and D rescue boat was beached in a cove around the point in calm waters. They left it to retrieve the stranded boaters, when they returned the rescue boat was gone leaving the rescue party and the boaters stranded on Mexican soil. Everyone is back safe though. Although without several boats. The stories being printed about armed robbery are not true. All was due to the weather. Reminder, even though you have the required boat permits to enter Mexico you are required to have a passport in possession if you leave the boat and step out on Mexican soil. Good idea to put it in the boat with you just in case. FLW should have never turned these guys loose Thursday morning. They were aware that it(The weather front) had passed through San Antonio at around 6:00am and was bearing down on them. Bad call by FLW. JMO.

Just got a phone call I didn't want.
Sorry to hear this. Thieves are lurking everywhere. I take everything out of my boat. I work too hard to have some idiot just walk by and relieve me of it. Hope you get your stuff back.

extending the deck of my BassBoat
Most tournaments will not allow an add on in the front deck. I would be very careful what I did just in case you disqualify your boat from tournament fishing.

What battery powers what?
Not on my boat. The TM batterys run the TM, and the cranking battery runs everything else.

Your local tackle store
You can walk in, go behind the counter without asking, sit down in the boss's chair, and tell him to take a hike when he returns and wants his chair back. As soon as you are done with that you can return your attention to his little hottie wife. Jack

What battery powers what?
i suggest you set up an appointment with the dealer that sold you the boat to go over the thing from bow to stern. It is important that you understand the layout as well as what does what. Will keep you on the water instead of sitting at the dock wondering. The first boat I purchased was like a jigsaw puzzle to me. It is time well spent. I actually saw a guy out on the water filling his livewells with a glass because it was new and he could not figure out how to turn on the pump to fill them up. Good luck

World Record Bass Ruling Announced, it's a....
Sad they did not give it to him. If scales are certified they should have declared him the new record holder. To heck with the two ounce crap.

Did that last week. Waiting on the geek squad to surround my house and sieze my operating hardware. Maybe they can shoot me with their geek sticks, or slap me with a floopy.

New World Record Bass Decision To Be Announced
If it's larger give it to him. That crap about having to be two ounces more is just that.

Alabama/Texas It's Time To Start This Thread
I was not even thinking about the yelling, screaming, or drinking when I wrote that. It's just a feeling that is in the air that I have not found elsewhere. Once you feel it you know.

Alabama/Texas It's Time To Start This Thread
To the fans everywhere that hate on the SEC, I invite you to attend a game, any game. Show up 3-4 hours early and then you will understand. Or do like some do, show up on the Tuesday before and then you will really understand. I had to drag my wife kicking and screaming to her first Bama game at Legion Field. By halftime she was into it, I had to drag her kicking and screaming away after the game. She has since forced me to several games that I planned to skip. All this from a woman that hated football and had never been to a game. It's a 10 hr. drive for me to the game and I always make a few. ROLL TIDE!!! 38-13

RANT
Common practice, just deposit it in your bank, or ask for cash from now on. My bank, and any other I know of in this area do the same thing.

Falcon Spinnerbait
Tilapia is the forage on Falcon. All you have to do is glance across on the Mexico side at the nets in the water. Hundreds of them and they lay waste to the bass population on both sides of the border. When the border patrol makes a run they collect nets and count them in miles, not feet. FYI, they only collect the illegal ones that are placed at night on the Texas side.

No more WBT
If you were unsure if they (ESPN/BASS) were serious about the WBT just glance at the payouts listed. That should tell you all you need to know.

Downloading Lowrance 520c emulator....
I just tried it with the Vista system and it is still no go for me. I can download it with my XP system no problem. Not sure what is going on, but after the XP download this morning it fails to open and run like it did last week. If they are tweaking files and/or operating hardware I wish they would get done with it. I did rerun the update download for the 520 to an SD card again this morning on XP without a problem though. Jerry Dean (Honey Hole Circuit/Magazine/TV) Passes Away
Jerry died Monday night after a long bout with cancer. He ran the Honey Hole Bass club circuit and had the Honey Hole TV show shown for many years. He was one of the leading pioneers of Texas bass fishing as well as a well known guide. He will be missed. Prayers to his wife Debra and the rest of the family.
