  1. J.C. Penny did the same to me. Dropped from 400.00 to 100.00. I had never been late, and usually paid it off in full each time I had a balance. I had not used it in a year or two so I guess it didn't even matter though.

    LMAO.
  3. Go back around to the right from the ramp. Tons of grass that runs from 10 yards to 40 yards from the bank. Fish the ditches that you see running from the banks. Straight across from the ramp is the roadbed with bridge running from the outer area of Indian Creek toward the back of Harvy. Deep water on each side of the roadbed. You will not have to go far to catch quality fish. I may be there mid week. Will let you know what I find if I do get up there. Jack
  4. Thabnks guys. We did our inspection and it seems to be what we are looking for. Will get started Monday going through the process of having a marine inspection done on the boat. allready discovered that the heating element in the hot water heater is bad. Other than that and Wanda and I decided that we would like another color on the boat, we may make an offer if it checks out.
  5. The wife and I are seriously considering the purchase of a 47' houseboat up on Lake Conroe. Anyone own one here that knows what to look for when we inspect. I am familiar with buying regular boats, but am pretty much clueless as to all the things I would need to check out before the purchase. We currently have: Recent inspection(Inc. below the waterline) All receipts for additional work done Clear titles First look is this morning Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jack
  6. I have a Lowrance 522c on the bow. The only problem is the boat does not move fast enough while on the TM for the GPS unit to work exactly as I would like it.It does not up date fast enough so there is a problem with the waypoints and the tracking being correct. I understand I can correct the issue by purchasing the remote 4,000 antenna. It seems or at least I have been told that this antenna will reset five times faster than the older antennas and this will solve the problem. Have not tried it yet, but may look into it shortly. Just hate to spend the extra money.
  7. I avoid them like the plague
  8. FYI, the fish(Mount) he used to cheat in that tournament was on display at Lake Ray Hubbard last weekend during the tournament that Robby is acused of cheating in. How's that for circumstance?
  9. The picture is that Bass Champs smelled a rat several years ago and started putting an observer with him. He quit the circuit after a couple of the tournaments with an observer. Oh, and by the way, he caught nothing but dinks while the observer was in the boat. Not too hard to figure this one out.
  10. Very nice. Excellent thinking on your part to have the dual console. Girlfriend (And you) will be much happier. Enjoy, Jack
  11. It has yet to be determined if any of his family members were involved. He fished several of the tournaments in question with his brother in law and his wife. Personally I find it hard to believe that some of them would not know. It takes a lot to keep fish alive and in good health from day to day without having either a secure place or outside help. I certainly hope they were not involved, but you never know.
  12. No charges as of this morning. It has been very quite, except over on the other forum. The post has almost 30,000 views and fixing to hit 1,100 post. It's amazing. Plenty of POd people including me that have been cheated(Allegedly) out of tournament winnings. It's not just the guy that finished second either. Think about the guy that finished say in 36th place, one spot out of a check. He then is responsible for cheating everyone that fell below him in the standings, from 2nd to the 36th position. I doubt they will actually do anything to him other than keeping him from fishing any more tournaments. If we all get lucky, maybe the DAs son or someone he knows real well lost out to this guy. That will probably be the only way it gets pushed up and prosecuted at a higher level. Jack
  13. It's called "Damage Control". He had posted an apology about it on his website before his mind kicked into gear
  14. There is a question whether that fish came from fork or not. It is being investigated now. He supposedly caught the fish last week fishing with a guide. No idea if they can or will confirm it though. They took tisue samples before the fish was released. If, in fact, it was caught up there, it might be a slot fish and that might draw the parks and wildlife deeper into it. You can bet the guide will never tell, if it was, and he becomes involved that would be the end of his business. Unless, of course it was an over, then Robby would be within his rights to keep the fish. What ever happens, it's going to be a mess for a while.
  15. Catt, I'm not so sure he did have talent. Each time he had an observer he didn't catch diddly. Maybe his talent was in deception.
  16. Agreed. Matt, have you seen the response over on the TFF? I think it's up to about 30 pages this morning. Jack
  17. Zapata is the only town on the lake with hotel/motel rooms. Well there are a few others, but just do yourself a favor and stay in Zapata. Security issues will be avoided by doing that. There are several boat ramps you need to avoid also. Laredo is 50 miles up river or Roma is down below. Stay out of Roma. Guides: Charlie Haralson 956 744-6235 Cell 956 791-0728 Home Charlie will answer his phone while fishing. The last time I called him he was on the water fishing Sugar Lake across the border in Mexico. Speedy Collette 956 236-9717 Call Falcon Lake Tackle and they will put you in contact with many more. Personally, if you go prepared you should not need a guide. December-February is spawning time. Carry bug spray and something to cut through the brush(If the water is up) and enjoy. I never fish the Mexico side either. There is plenty of water to fish on the Texas side. You can go to: www.falconlaketackle.com and get all the info you will need. Don't read alot about the safety issues in this post either. If you use your head you will be fine. Jack
  18. Update: Robby Rose has taken ALL of his websites down. He is now denying that he had anything to do with altering the fish. Good thing his admission(Apology)(Allegedly) on his website was there for all to see.
  19. The folks at the Bud Light Tournament Trail website have posted the information. Go to: www.budlighttrail.com Jack
  20. Right Mike. He was arrested and his web site has been taken down.
  21. I fish both. Right now Falcon is the way to go. There are plenty of rooms in the Zapata area. FYI: Heavy tackle 65# braid Lake is huge so watch the weather Mexico license required if you cross to the south side of the lake Currently the lake is 12' low, and it can go up and down quickly. Jack
  22. He's done. Let's hope anyone else that decides to try it is also finished. I feel for his wife and children, this is only the beginning and it will be a while before we know exactly what the charges are. All kind of stories about Robby and this fish. I don't want to stir the pot any more than it is allready. When I get solid information I will post it up. Matt, I know how you feel. It's pretty bad when Bass Champs requires you to have an observer any time you fish the circuit alone. That can be verified. Jack
  23. Ain't gonna happen.
  24. It's up above the 103 bridge, way up the Angelina river in lower Nacogdoches county.
