Dual Screen Digital Camera
Canon used to make digital cameras where you could flip out the screen and rotate it around to the front so you could see what was in frame from the front of the camera. I had one, I think the A90, and it was a good camera.

A Tax Joke...sort Of.
The only thing I remember from my tax classes (12 years after taking them) is that they sucked!

How Are You Dealing With The Fuel Price's!
Right, I forgot most people were driving around in those tiny little Bugs. Most websites reference in the 20's for gas mileage on the older beetles. Those VW vans are certainly not getting in the high 30's. You probably meant the early 80's cars. Those had some high mileage options, but the cars sucked big time and no one bought them, also gas prices dropped again and consumers went back to higher performance over fuel economy. BTW, you're still on an 0fer.

Yeah right. Those cars may have gotten in the high 30's if they were in neutral and going downhill.

How Are You Dealing With The Fuel Price's!
Here's a question that I like to ask those who claim that oil companies are "gouging" us. If you found an ounce of gold would you sell it for $100 or would you sell it for close to the market price of $1,500? If you held out for the market price would be "gouging" the person that you sold it to? If not then how is the oil companies selling their product for the market price any different?

What kind of moron would sell that idea/invention for a couple of million? If his idea would supplant the need for oil he'd instantly be the richest man on earth. A couple of million would be a rounding error with respect to the value of his idea. The value of this patent and/or idea would be such that it would be a significant purchase for any large public company and would be disclosed in a public filing. What other energy source provides the energy that oil does? Given the laws of physics you can not get more energy out of a reaction than you put into it. Fossil fuels have had millions of years of the earths heat and pressure to turn from plant carbon to an energy rich substance. The earth has done the work for us without using up valuable farmland or other fossil fuels in the creation of it. So ethanol requires a significant amount of energy to produce and distribute. Oil uses far less than ethanol. I'd rather not drive around with a compressed hydrogen tank either. Does the Hindenburg ring a bell? Solar is still too inefficient to power a car for any length of time. Wind won't power a car. Now electricity is making big strides in the Volt and the Leaf. Batteries and electricity are the only really viable option but only recent advances in battery technology have made them "cheap" (The volt's batteries cost about 10K right now!)enough and light enough to use. As that technology improves that cost will drop and more people will buy them. Sorry to rant like this, but baseless claims (especially ones easily proven false) annoy me.

Patents are searchable. They're public information. As such, in order for this claim to hold any merit whatsoever, you have to be able to provide examples, such as, Patent XYZ would allow a car to run off pure water. Without that you're just a bunch of conspiracy theorists talking about stuff that you don't really understand. I hear this same song and dance all the time. "Those big bad oil companies are buying patents and shelving them!" A simple question of "Which ones" is met with silence or diversion. Let's try evidence for once and see where that gets us.

But you'd make the claim that the companies are doing it based on hearsay? Seems odd that you'd make the claim against the companies based on hearsay but not provide any examples because its only hearsay evidence. That's a headscratcher.

Joplin Missouri
These tornados are hitting towns and densely populated areas. They are also HUGE! From what I've heard, the one that hit Joplin destroyed an area 1/2 mile by 4 miles. It even leveled multi story apartment buildings.

I'm still trying to figure out which patents were purchased and shelved by the oil companies.

Gman's
Just got them last night so I haven't tried them yet. I'll probably get out for a little while this weekend and will try them then, but there isn't any reason that they won't be as good as his other jigs. I am impressed with how narrow the head is on the bullet jig though. Looks more narrow than a bullet weight of the same weight.

Gman's
They look great! Given how narrow the head is they should come through the grass really easily. I think the brush jigs look great too.

We can easily know enough to know that the oil companies do not directly control oil or gas prices. Everytime the gas prices rise people whine and moan and the good ole gov't investigates and finds nothing. We've seen this show before.- How Are You Dealing With The Fuel Price's!
Nobody is. Both Oil and Unleaded gasoline are commodities that are traded on the futures markets. These markets are what determines the price you pay at the pump. The big oil companies are also little players compared to the state owned oil companies. What's really shown here is a basic lack of understanding of markets and economics. But it's easy to blame someone else so if that's all you to do then have at it.- How Are You Dealing With The Fuel Price's!

Can you name one?- Don't Let Cheap Tackle Let You Down
Of course there is. My point was asking what the benefit was of being able to straighten the hook to free it from a snag. I wouldn't recommend bending the hook back to "shape" and then reusing it. So, to me I may as well lose that jig because I'm not going to reuse it again anyways.- Well, This Was A Bad Saturday

Got a bit concerned with this post. Glad it didn't end here!!!- Don't Let Cheap Tackle Let You Down
Well I guess technically you CAN reuse it. But that doesn't mean that you should. The spot that was bent to free the hook and then rebent to put it back in a curve is now significantly weaker. So, you've taken a hook that was already easy to bend and made it easier to break.- Don't Let Cheap Tackle Let You Down
What's the benefit of that? You can't reuse the jig so you may as well have lost it. - How Are You Dealing With The Fuel Price's!
