Stick-O Vs. Senko
I'd let you know the brand that I use, but the name is no longer allowed to be mentioned here. Awesome product, cheap price and great service.

How Bout Dem Cowboys!!
Hmm, as a Cowboys fan I see that as GOOD news and am hoping that Saban does not become the Cowboys coach.

What Is Wrong With People?
There's another show about buying storage lockers that I like (Auction Hunters). They actually approach it like a business and talk about how many lockers that they buy that are busts. If wanted to see a girl with a big rack, I'd watch reruns of Baywatch. This Storage Wars show is fake at best. I love how at the end they get to say item X is worth $10K and then that's the profit that they show. Really? How about actually selling it and see what you make then.

What Is Wrong With People?
Well there's your problem right there. Storage wars is a terible show. There's no way that any actual business person would act like those idiots do. They'd bid each other up all day long and run out of money. The "values" that they claim are ridiculous too.

Ugh! Why Do Some Things Have To Be So Difficult?
His methods are also too simplistic in that they are not always correct. Debt is not the devil and should not always be paid off quickly. Instead one needs to look at the costs of that debt in determining whether or not it makes sense. I have a student loan at a ridiculously low interest rate. It's also tax deductible which makes the rate even lower. Even if I won the lottery, I'd only pay minimum payments on that. If I can get my house refinanced down to close to 4% I'd do the same on that loan. Currently at 5.5% which is a great rate, but can do better now. Anyways, just wanted to provide a counterpoint to Ramsey whom I don't think is always correct.

Ugh! Why Do Some Things Have To Be So Difficult?
Yes, I was refering to home owners insurance, but Stasher is correct in that PMI could apply. The OP may very well qualify for an FHA loan which still has low down payment requirements but does require PMI until you get to 20% equity. And getting to 20% equity just by making the regular monthly payments takes FOREVER. My advice to you would be to tell your wife, in no uncertain terms, that you both are simply not ready for taking on a mortgage. Right now you should focus on reducing your monthly expenses (loans). Figure out which one is the highest rate loan and put everything you can to that loan until it's paid off, then start on the next one. The other piece of advice is that mortgage people will tell you that you qualify for a LOT more than they really should. You can easily become house poor (all of your monthly income goes to the house and you have nothing left to spend on yourself) by following their advice. I'd sell the boat too.

Ugh! Why Do Some Things Have To Be So Difficult?
A 30 year mortgage at 5.5% (I picked a higher %age because you're not likely to qualify for the best rates) for $100K is going to cost you $568 a month. 6% interest pushes that to $600 a month. Then you have to add in taxes and insurance to that amount. Can you really afford that and have enough left over to pay utilities and fix anything that goes wrong? Sounds to me like you're going to be much better off by staying where you are and working hard to save as much money as you can (ie don't buy frivolous junk). Your boat payment is certainly not helping anything either.

Time To Make A Decision
I'd agree completely. I'm still paying on one of my loans and the interest rate is both tiny and tax deductible so I'm not even considering paying it off any sooner than I have to. If I could extend it, I probably would.

Time To Make A Decision
Why should he have to clarify? There are multiple posts on this board showing exactly what his parents think of his college plans. Are you going to make it worse by not believing him?

Leg Surgery
They don't give those out anymore. My wife's doc said that they're too easily faked. She has always been prepared for extra scrutiny, but the metal detectors have never "detected" the six inch long titanium rod that is in her tibia.

Time To Make A Decision
Man, if they can't be bothered to fill out a simple financial aid application to help you better your life then I don't know what use they'll ever be to you. That's pretty pathetic.

Bye Bye
Charitable organizations exist pretty much everywhere in the US. You hardly even have to try to find one that benefits Americans. And just as an aside, a report from my church's mini mission to Haiti included a report that they delivered food to two orphanages. One was down to their last box of food and the other had already run out. Things may be bad for people here, but you can bet your *** that they are MANY times worse in the third world countries. Children are literally starving because they live in orphanages with no one to take care of them. Our poor would hardly even rate on their suffering scale.

"its Great To Be An Auburn Tiger"
Just to be clear, that's the out of state rate and not the in state rate.

"its Great To Be An Auburn Tiger"
I'm not sure of ANY accounting or business majors who left school hoping to become Certified Internal Auditors. Replace the Internal with Professional to get a CPA and you'll have something. The CIA exam is second rate and a DISTANT second at that. Basically LSU football to OSU football. CIA being OSU in that analogy. But if your peeps feel like the smart portion of the second rate exam, who am I to take that away from them.

Opinions On Mislabeling
Nope, just pointing out nonsense. unohow2spellbro? Maybe you should take a few elementary classes on spelling and word choice and after that post on the forums.

Opinions On Mislabeling
Why should I ask him when the thread clearly shows that it was you and your right and wrong are metaphysical constructs created from nothing so they're meaningless tangent?
-
Opinions On Mislabeling
Would buying one item that you knew was mislabelled be considered theft and result in prosecution? no. Are mislabelled items always the store's fault? no, other customers or kids could switch things around. Should you "stick it to" big box stores? Why? What did they do to you except provide you with products that you wish to buy? Why would you punish them for that? If you don't want to "feel bad" or question yourself afterwards about buying a potentially mislabelled item then ask at the cashier or customer service if the price is correct. If they say yes then you've done everything that you should. It's actually quite simple really.

Oh we're sticking to the exact situation? Where did the incest reference come from then?

Opinions On Mislabeling
Ask The Natural how that worked out for him. He paid the price on the sticker at checkout so he didn't steal it? The cops that were searching for him across multiple states thought differently.

With The New Iphone Coming Out...
Yeah right. What kind of magical substance does HTC use for the screen of their phones?

With The New Iphone Coming Out...
That reason is that there are a multitude of manufacturers producing Android phones. Android is an OS and NOT a phone. A comparison between the two is ludicrous. It's a testament to the power of the iPhone that it is actually considered a competition. The iPhone will now be 3 phones (only one top of the line one) from 1 manufacturer. That it can compete in handsets sold against the an operating system that is sold by HTC, Samsung, Motorola, LG, etc, etc all of which make multiple phones that are sold on all of the carriers networks is a sign of just how big the iphone is. Sprint is getting the iphone because their CEO said the number one reason that they are losing customers is that they switch to a carrier to get the iphone. As to the features, 4G would be nice but it's not available in very many places and it is a battery HOG! Flash just flat out sucks. HTML 5 is much better and soon Flash will not be required. It's another resource hog. Apple's whole business model with the iPhone is to use proven technology that works. They never were and never will be the cutting edge device because you experience a lot more problems on the cutting edge. They were slow to implement 3G and they'll be slow to implement 4G. They aren't going to implement something that causes the phone's battery to die within a couple of hours. It's just a different experience. If you want to be able to customize your phone whichever way you want and be on the bleeding edge then get a droid phone and be happy.

Bass Pro Trips People
I agree with snook. When you see them walking up, just say you're not interested and ignore them. They're annoying, but not as annoying as BPS's high prices.

How Long Can You Keep A Fish In A Cooler/fridge Before You Clean It?
I would never NOT at least gut the fish first. Commercial fishermen gut the fish on the deck, then put it on ice and stay out fishing for a LONG time so they'll last that way, but I wouldn't want to freeze the whole fish and then clean it later.

Peanut Butter And Jelly Jigs
When do I use PB&J jigs? When the water is wet. GMAN will hook you up too. Best jigs for the best prices that I've seen.
