  1. Never really realized what a phenominal idea those were! Thought it was just a gimmick and never really paid attention when they first came out. Gotta get me some I reckon.(so says the monkey).
  2. When one smashes a crank doing around 90mph it GOOD NIGHT! When froggin or spookin its BAM!
  3. x2 forgot that one, especially if it is overcast, maybe a light rain and windy as heck.A buzz will mop the floor with em!
  4. Yup,found this place while searching for tips on a certain technique.Been reading articles for prob 2 years here, never even checked the forum as I hate internet chatting and message rooms in general. Also just like POINTER said,I thought it was just too much info to try to scan through at first.Boy was I wrong! This place is great! I always send threads and articles to my buds and try to get them to join too. Also wanted to take a sec to thank the various members and mods that frequent these boards. Some of the long time members for making this place enjoyable and the mods for making it tolerable. When I win the lottery(LOL ) My dream trip is to basically just tour the U.S and fish anywhere and everywhere I can In my new Triton.I would then post a thread here and ask everyone if they would be interested in going. I would definitely love to meet a lot of the people here and spend some good times flippin fish over the rail.
  5. super spook or ss jr, and chatterbait
  6. What grinds my gears? Everyone else on the road, period. I do, after all, own it.
  7. Way to go! and nice fish man. Been thinking along the same lines for some of the small lakes and ponds that I have beat down really bad.
  8. TOO FUNNY ;D anyone ever do that? (yet another off topic post jacking...sorry)
  9. which brings me to the question, and sorry to jack the topic, but I always hear or read the pros saying things like: The bass are feading on craws today,I'm trying to match the shad the bass are feeding on today, this jig looks like the craws this time of year in here, the bass are chasing bream. How in the hell could they know without throwing a cast net or sometimng? Sounds more like a lucky perception most of the time.
  10. Indeed.Sometimes you got plastics ,and sometimes REALLY GOOD plastics, and they are one of them.
  11. Aye,true, but sometimes it is unavoidable, especially if the wind is howling.Just burns me up when it happens alot on some days LOL
  12. Nothing tops the guy who throws his monitor while the boss is looking on and contimues to type without a screen. TIMELESS humor ;D
  13. Whats the cure for those few times when you go to twitch your worm and you dont feel it only to then realize the fish is streaking 100 MPH towards the boat, then you come up curled and never knowing how big it could have been? MAN I HATE THAT
  14. What you stopped using the bite lite lure and the walking worm Muddy?? On a serious note:the only thing that device may be good for is Crappie if used at the right location.
  15. I just thought of the first one I have in my box which is the yo-zuri bannana boat jr minnow.(spook type lure). There are a few sizes of this and even the small one casts like a rocket due to the magnetic transfer weights inside.
  16. The rage toads make the most commotion, bar none.It feels like a crankbait with all the resistance.Extremely loud and in your face action. They are incredible,as is the shad, fished the same way.I've been using these on choppy water when the extra action is needed. I have been wondering though sometimes if these are TOO aggressive for bass if they are in a spooky mood? The only prob I have so far is that the rage toad/shad dont seem to work too well when worked real slow. To get max potential they need to be fished fast and hard. They also show very little action when allowed to sink and twitch. My favorite toad for subsurface work and sinking into holes is the sizmic. Favorite toad overall for any condition is the ribbit.
  17. I only know of his ebay store. You may want to call or email them. that company rocks! and he will make a bait in any weight or style you want if you contact them directly.
  18. YA THE PREMIUM BALSA IS THE ONES I BOUGHT...
  19. x2 for sure, but may add black and blue to the list. I pretty much buy only those colors in plastics but....the problem therein is that there are HUNDREDS of styles and sizes.I gotta have those colors in every cool looking plastic I see In order to cover the various water conditions.Errmmm, bait monkey wins again. :-[
  20. IMO....Junk! Bought 3 at BPS and all were crooked and completely un-tunable. This is just MY experience though, others will prob disagree.
  21. Not too many probs here. Can say though,at least that @#$% versus hunting banner is gone...that one was killing me.
  22. I use braid mostly and a lot of times have found its better to set instantly and ask questions later. If my line is too tight I have found that the fish feel me then spit. The exception to this is when its really windy. We all know how much slack the wind can blow in a small dia braided line. GRRRR!!
  23. LOL The things we used to do to amuse ourselves when we were younger ,eh?
  24. Could you explain that? I too have been looking for a practical cure for this problem.
  25. X2,Now I got a new piece of cover so its all good
