  1. I am looking for a loomis rod suggestion to handle t-rigs and jigs. I want something with a overall good feel and sensitivity. The rod needs to be available on TW as well. If you could give two possible suggestions on two different price points that would be the best (ie. IMX/GLX). Thanks.
  2. I am not good at it, but the technique I think is the most underrated is jigging spoons.
  3. I hate facebook, but the game looks fun.. Any tips for beginners?
  4. What is a poon? I searched google for it and though I got some cool results I don't think thats what you hooked into..
  5. Of course you do, because you already know where the good ones are. Question is would you still start slow and stay slow if it was on an unknown lake in another climate such as the northeast lakes? Absolutely I have 2 depth finders, one at my console and one on the bow their sole function is to locate structure. Just because a bass strikes a spinner bait or crank bait does not mean the bass are active; if properly placed and retrieved inactive bass will react to most any lure. The biggest mistake most anglers make with plastics or jigs is they do not consider ROF (rate of fall); ever wonder why it is said bass strike these lures on the fall? Catt have you made a thread on ROF? If not can you? I would love to read some articles on ROF and see others opinions.
  6. Sounds like your looking for deep cranks. I consider mid depth 8-12, deep 12+. I dont know of too many cranks that go 16 (depending on line). I think my DD22 only goes about 16.
  7. You could do a few things. You could find a new partner. You could talk to him and say that you will use your patterns and type of fishing one tourney then his for the next. You could just not say anything and just fish your spots. If you catch fish fishing the way you like then stick to that. I have taken people out that stopped fishing at some points because they thought that I wasn't on fish, but then I would pull a a couple in or a nice fish in and they would be back in it. Make him a believer on your spots. It is also a good thing to try to learn both the deep and shallow. I have a hard time fishing the deep water. This could be your chance to learn his speciality. Think of it as a positive and not a negative.

  9. I use the chronarch MG 51 paired with a 7'2 Cumara MF. I love that setup. It is so light and can cast just about anything light.

  11. If any of you guys have open seats in the next few weeks I would like to see some new water. I will chip or whatever else needs to be done. None of "those" favors though muddy... I knew what you were thinking you sick sob!
  12. Too bad you didn't go... They could have used you to wash cars in your bikini.
  13. This happened to me with my 25 hp.. I know it isn't a 150 hp or anything, but sounds exactly the same. I got multiple things done and $700 later it turned out to be the "Brain". Same thing happened where they ran it in the shop and said there is nothing wrong with it. Then I take it back and the same thing happened. So I doubt this helped, but good luck!
  14. I wouldn't use flouro. Depending on the lure it could sink a little and ruin the action. It has happened to me in the past with the LC G-Splash.
  15. Dom. I am thinking along the same lines as you with the KISS idea. I would have a tough time sticking to one reel though, because I use the LH models.
  16. Weekends are a mess for the most part, but other then that it isn't all that bad.
  17. Chunk is electric only. Size probably less then 800 acres.
  18. Would you reccomend using one brand/one style rod for every fishing application? Can you explain why you would or would not, and which brand you would use if you would?
  19. So for the silver star do I need to send in any money? I was under the impression that I needed to send in $50 no matter what. Also will I need to prove that I am the original owner? I am also not sure if I registered the rod 3 years ago.
  20. Does anyone know how the warranty works for the Avid? I was on their website and didn't really understand it.
  21. Well I get irritated for the following reasons: 1. "Jake"- I caught 3 5lb bass today! Robby- Yeh did you weigh them? "Jake"- No I just know how big they were. Robby walks away 2. My own curiosity. For example today I saw a fish picture in the northeast category and wonder to myself how big is that fish!? The bass looks like it swallowed a basketball. Sometimes you can estimate the weight, but when it is so oddly proportioned I am lost. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1247261551
  22. Yeh I will just say I am 5'7 450lbs.
  23. You people who don't carry scales.
