Motivation Problem
Don't take offense to this, but just because some students got C's and D's doesn't mean they skated by. I would hope if your the one doing the hiring you would also judge them by their character. I can remember some interview questions I had to answer that would give the employer some insight on my character/ethics. I think that is better to go by then grades. Just my opinion.

First BLF Event on Saturday
I would chip some money for the boater, pack light, and offer to wipe down the boat. Try to keep your things organized, because when boaters want to move they want to move. Good luck, and have a blast man!

Help Using A Bass Jig
Jigs are something you just need to put your time into. I fish it as much as I can, because I know they catch fish. Last year I averaged a 3lb fish on my jig bites. This year so far I caught one fish on a jig, and it weighed over 6 lbs. Just put your time in, and it will pay off big time later. I still am not amazing with a jig, but I am getting there.

Will the spawn in Rhode Island (any maybe all NE) be screwed up again this year!!
Yea, I think it will be screwed up. I just caught a 6.5 lb LM bass on Sunday, and it was packed full of eggs. The water temp is 45 degrees, not seeing any beds. It just all seems off.

New Personal Best 4/12/09
I am currently living at Penn State, and I went home for Easter weekend. Well it was worth it! My dad and I went out on Friday. It was cold, windy, and the water temp was 45 degrees. My dad caught one fish which weighed 5lb on the nose. The boat was sitting in about 30-35 ft of water we were casting into 10. The bass was in about 12 foot of water, and hit a Berkley Beast. After seeing the 5lb bass I was inspired to get out there again. Today was windy again about 25mph constant and 30mph gusts. It was a tough controlling my boat. We were out for 2 hours, and I managed to pull in one fish on a jig. The jig was a Hunters Creek Cheeseburger jig with a netbait paca craw trailer. The bass was on the same stretch of water as the 5lb bass previously caught. It was on a steep shoreline and hooked in about 15 foot of water. The bass went 6 lb 8 oz. This was also my first fish on my new setup. A shimano chronarch 51mg and a shimano cumara. The tip on the cumara broke some how in the craziness. The fish was caught in Beltzville Lake.

Tips for the susky flats
Don't just rip around unless you know what your doing. Some places down there get really tricky. Some spots on certain tides the channel will be 4 feet deep.

I love cheerleaders.
In my opinion, you need to be leery about hitting on ANY girl with a jump rope.

Trolling Motor Mounting Help
Below is a boat picture. I labeled each red line with a letter. I am trying to figure out which is the best way to mount a trolling motor. I have a 16 foot lowe boat and the front is smaller. It will work size wise, but now I need to know which way. If I can get away with it mounting on the right side would be the best. If it were on the right I feel like it would be out of the way more. Well I need your help. I am not sure if it matters, but opinions welcome. Thanks

Non-Boater info
I have the total opposite approach. I will fish the tourney with him, and see how much he runs, how his etiquette is then I decide on tip. Even if he backboats me I will tip him, but not as much. I also tip depending on how much running and what not. Last year when gas prices sucked I was giving 30, but this year I will offer 20. Also offer to wipe down his boat. I thought you were banned from the BFL's after numerous sexual harassment charges were filled against you by your boaters.... :-? First of all boater #1 didn't complain, and they could not find enough evidence to prove it on the other 4 incidents.

Pouring Lead
Great site, although I had something A LOT cheaper in mind. I am hoping someone knows a good way to make a home made melter. I have read on other forums about using dutch ovens and propane tanks, and turkey fryers.

What is the best hand held GPS unit?
Is this the unit? http://www.bestboatingdeals.com/product_info.php?pName=lowrance-ifinder-h2oc-wcig-pc Do the same Navonics chips for the graphs work on this unit? Would this unit be good enough to use for fishing contours? Does the unit zoom in to zone in on a marked structure?

Pouring Lead
Does anyone have any ideas on how to setup a bigger lead melting and pouring operation? I have some smaller pots like a 5lob and a 20 lb. I would want to do something like 50-100 pounds. I would like to keep it as simple of an operation as possible.

Rods as a Non Boater
I only fish non-boater tournaments, and all you need is 5 rods. Anymore it is a hassle to deal with.

New to flipping
I use a revo s on my flipping stick. I think I would stay away from a chronarch on a flipping stick. I am not sure if its beefy enough to get bass out of the muck.

when to use lipless vs. when to use cranks
What speed is your retrieve with traps in early spring? (I assume it is pre-spawn during this time in Arkansas?) Vary it, and let the fish tell you. I do very well on traps reeling them slow in the weeds then ripping them hard out and when it falls back down. BAM

New Guy from PA
Hey man, I am also from the Allentown area. What is your specific location? I am located in Palmerton. I primarily fish Beltzville, Mauch Chunk, and Promised Land, but I get around.

What are you REALLY good at ? (OK to brag here ;-)
The only thing that comes to mind that I'm really good at is cranking bandit 200's over the top of weeds. For some reason I have a good feel with just hitting the tops of the weeds and getting strikes. I know it sounds silly and simple, but that's what I'm good at.
