Any of you guys ice fish. Just wondering if your spots have survived the warm up and the rain.

I am always amazed at what happens when someone brings up Revos and their controls.

more bass are caught during first ice and last ice periods. They are very hard to catch during the dead of winter. but it can be done fish deep and hope you hit one in the nose.

I do alot of ice fishing here in MI, Bass are usually easier to catch during first ice and last ice periods. Much harder to catch mid winter. But I have seen some big ones caught through the ice.

I will be near Ponqougue, but I am willing to take a little drive for fishing of course.

I now that it is alittle late in the year for this but, I am going to south hampton for two or three weeks for a job. I am going to pack a rod or two just in case. Is there any public fresh water that i may be able to pick up some bass? Any help would appreciated. paragon

Fish swami is great i used it this year for the first time. It produces bar graphs for every thing you keep triack of. I also included google earth photos for all my places. It will send email reports to all of your fishing partners every time you enter a trip. All for free. paragon

By not using the brakes at all , do you mean setting them to zero or disabling them somehow? And does the SX function the same as the STX with the brake @ zero?

"Miniscule" indeed. Went out early this morning got her hummin know, I was adjusting tension knob click to click. It is still a little touchy but I'll work it out.

I have the same story. I can cast the S a mile but my SX always seems to want to get away from me. I have tried new line, and every combination of settings. I just put on another line and I plan on getting out tomm. to give it a try.This reel is making a baitcasting vet like me feel real dumb.

evan If you have the pictures, that fish qualifies as a master angler LMB. Check out the DNR site to submit your catch. I have been working hard all summer to get my 2008 patch.

What color were you throwing? I have caught most fish on the olive. It was a size 10 slashbait style in hot steel. olive and silver are my next purchase. paragon

I fished an X-Rap today for the first time. For a while i couldn't keep the fish off of it. I think I will by every color. By the way it was over weeds 2-4 ft. down. paragon

I saw that one of the bass on the 2007 Michigan master ang. list was caught on a beetle spin.
