a bit confused about b/c versus spin
To fish slow, I use spinning. But for faster retrieves, I use a bait caster. I have caught nothing on my baitcaster, but I just switched to a spinning, and killed them that time. To me it is usually about line weight too. For lighter line a spinning is preferred. For heavier line I use a baitcaster. -searoach

dead shad
I have heard of this, It is usually caused by high temperatures, and a lack of current. These two things combine together to reduce the amount of oxygen in the water. This is called fish kill. ( BASSIN' Feb. '08 ) -searoach

First time Shakey Impressions....ROBO VS. GULP
I have seen Bass run up on GULP! and run away. You think the smell is bad, wait till you here this, The bags on 1 particular bag of gulp's zipper, was not fully functioning properly. I then got home and opened up my tackle box to "re-group" so to speak. After opening it I realized that I accidentally left it open. To top it all off, I then zipped it up, and threw it in my back pack to go fishing again at the pond by my house. After unloading the dishwasher, I walked in my room and BAM I saw that the bottom of my backpack was wet and it smelled terrible! This was not normal GULP! smell, it was this plastic-ey white glue smell with GULP! gravy on top of it. This is a true story, sorry to be so long, but the moral of the story is think about 300 times before even thinking of buying GULP! products. -searoach

same bass twice? 2 hours apart
I hook it up so the hook point is thru the body, but then I pull it forward just enough to put the hook point in the plastic. I pull it about the same distance as ONE of those little rings on a senko, so it is not very much. Sorry if this is confusing, easier to show somebody than to tell them if that makes any sense. -searoach
