I usually fish them on light tackle and normally weightless.
  3. Where can I check out one of these rods?
  4. Has anyone seen or used the baitcaster being offered by U.S. Reels? They look interesting.
  5. I have only Diawa's baitcasters, from low end to mid range and I have had excellent luck with all of them. I would recommend them to everyone.
  6. Does anyone have any views on the Diawa s-rods: green backs? I am thinking about purchasing a better rod and $100.00 dollar range is where I need to be around. If there are better rods for about the same price let me know.
  7. This toon is surprisingly heavy. I purchased a whee from cabelas that was supposed to just bolt on, the only problem was the bolt broke and the tubing started torip. I might try your idea but right now I driving it to the lake [about 3 blocks] then dragging it the rest if the way.
  8. I haven't heard much about Ardent reels. An thoughts or input on these? They seem pretty nice.
  9. Thanks Micro. That is what I thought I'd heard before but wasn't positive.
  10. When I went fishing this morning, the lake was full of dead shad floating around, any idea what is going on?

They are my favorite plastic bait. I haven't seen any negative reactions compared to other soft baits.
  12. picked one of these up on sale a bps but have not been able to test it out yet. Practicing in the yard it really seems smooth and I can get more distance than my other reels.
  13. I've had some good luck with the yum dinger: gulp I've only tried once so I really can not form an opinion yet.
  14. Last year was the first time I used any kind of scent, and I never will be sure , but my friend and I had the best luck ever fishing out of our usual lake.
  15. I am goin to pick up one of the new Diawas and maybe some rain gear. If I have anything left it will go towards some new lures.
