I don't really know, but you have to remember the technology in this reels is I'm sure over 15 years old. I'm guessing there will be better options and i think in distance the rod will play a big part. Please give a price range and I'm sure we can help you out.

You can go on ebay and find all kinds of deals at that price, but may i suggest a older daiwa advantage on sale.

Does anyone remember these my dad bought me one while they were still made in japan a few years ago. MY FAVORITE REEL OF ALL TIMES I LEARNED OFF OF IT AND IT IS STILL GOING sorry for caps. I'd take this one over all of the high end reels it's built like a tank and is smooth, but the newer ones aren't made in japan when i got mine it was supposedly 150-200 $ So which one of you guys has one. ;D I wish i could find another.
