Thinking about getting a Fenwick
Thats a joke I have a techna av and the shimano crucial blows it out of the water now where on the imx level. The Fenwick Rods are excellent value, just as good as a Crucial. I love 14 year olds who know how to state all their years experience in a polite way. :-/ Okay let me restate my sentence I see others feel I'm coming off too harsh which i believe I am, in my humble opinion I feel that the shimano crucial apples to apples here 7' mh fast action is a crisper rod that the techna av 7' mh fast action that is about 4 years old. Don't get me wrong here both are great rods in fact fit and finish i would give the fenwick the nod. Then again what to I know I'm 14 :-/

Using a BC for lightweight lures & plastics
I was having a problem the other evening throwing 3'' Rapalas I think I just need to add some more break in the cast. But I cast weightless plastics, topwater, and jigs just fine with my set up. I have a BPS Xstreme on a Allstar I use Cabelas pro line which is mono at 10ld. I think this is the way to start out it worked for me. I don't really try anything else b/c this is working and the man who taught me knows his stuff. So good luck and enjoy I know the feeling of getting a new combo. Enjoy and keep fishing. Man i dont think you have a chance casting 3 inch raps, you must know something i don't know because a weightless plastic that people claim that they can launch a mile ex trick worm does'nt work out on any of my baitcasters.

Jackall Mikey sr. shallow swimbait, T-rig bring some insight
Hold it my friend, just because you see somebody reeling in steadily at X speed doesn 't mean it 's the one and only way to fish the bait. You know how to fish jerkbaits don 't you ? You know how to fish cranks don 't you ?, You know how to fish topwaters don 't you ? You have to experiment different types of retrieval alone or in combination until you find the one who makes the fish bite the bait, that 's it, no "secrets" . I get more bites with that bait just by letting sit there and twitching it ocassionaly than by reeling it in steadily. Perfect I will experiment different rates of retrieve man im going swimming after this bait if i lose it. Thats the nice thing about the floating baits. Just a bit easier to retrieve when they break off... Yep.

Alternative to G.Loomis GLX BCR854?
Man i got a lot to learn about reel etiquette. No experience with this but a complie-x i know daiwa shimano un holy, but would look fabulous or maybe a Japanese rod like a megabass super destroyer.

Split grip or Full grip?
Thank you for laying down the law. It was getting out of hand.

Split grip or Full grip?
Okay, cork is a natural products and how much cheaper and where are you going with this? Rod builders people that make custom rods save money from making split grips some for customer preferences some for balance etc. a split grip doesn't make your rod anymore sensitive.. No fore grip maybe/yes fully exposed black reel seat yes. That 5 inch gap between the fighting butt and the rear grip NO. and i have already gone over that a more balanced rod with be more sensitive if it must be more weight in the handle!
