Thanks, i looked into it and im heading out tomorrow to get some.
  6. I use Yo Zuri Hybrid with KVD Line and Lure Conditioner. The Yo Zuri had a fair amount of memory but i liked the line so much i dealt with it. Then i got a hold of some of the KVD L&L and it works like magic on the line, it reduced memory and backlashes alot for me.
  7. On most occasions yes, if it doesn't specify action it is more than likely a fast action. I fish with a 7' medium/extra fast Shimano Compre for all of my spinning tackle and i am more than happy with it. I think if your budget is in the 100$ range there is not a better rod. Rods have different powers and actions for different reasons so whats right for one situation usually inst right for another. money reflects quality in my opinion, im a firm believer in you get what you pay for. More "expensive" rods are made of higher quality components which result in the rod being more durable and more sensitive. Plus warranty is a big factor to me and the with the higher priced rods you get a good warranty incase something happens, and things to happen.
  8. me either x3
  9. Attach a line and hook and feed them .
  10. Im not 100% sure thats what it is but im cleaning off my front rims every 3-5 days because they turn so black from all of the crap. Is this brake dust? is it the brand of brakes causing the issue? Solutions?
  11. Im glad you got things sorted out Matt and decided on something, very very nice boat, congratulations.
  12. The process has begun, soon your brain will be fully controlled by Shimano.....Resistance is futile.
  13. I had the same problem, fortunately the 6" downgrade solved it for me. I have never used a 6' rod but i suppose you could. Shimano Compres are nice rods at the 100$ mark, i use a medium power extra fast action for my spinning tackle and i love it. If you want to spend a little more you can pick up a Shimano Crucial for 140$, these rods will not disappoint you.
  14. ! Are you guys kidding me? Fried pickles are awesome, along with fried okra. I'll eat anything fried, last night i went out to west texas and my grandma fried some squash .
  15. I have never fished with or owned a Cumara but i do fish with Crucials almost exclusively. The medium action Crucials IMO feels like a medium power rod should feel and the same with the medium heavy power. Crucial rods are a very good rod in the medium price range and i don't think anybody would be disappointed in there performance.
  16. I was driving home and it felt like it was sunrise the moon is so bright.
  17. Try some Yo Zuri Hybrid 8-).
  18. Sure glad to have you back muddy, it wasn't the same without the worlds biggest mook .
  19. Listen to everyone when they say Shimano Symetre, i wouldn't trade mine for any other spinning reel in the sub 100$ range. If the Symetre isn't in your budget then i would go with the Sahara. I have owned both and the Spirex was to heavy imo.
  20. For 200$ you could get a Shimano Compre 7' medium power extra fast action and a Shimano Symetre 2500FI and that would leave about 20$ to buy some line and KVD line and lure conditioner. I use the same setup and i wouldn't trade it for the world.
  21. LOL, Lowe boat Co. Not Lowe's home improvement. Thanks guys, I thought it would be unstable just had to double check my references. Prices sure do go up for another half a foot width :-/. Looks like it will be another few weeks.
  22. I'm going to purchase a jon boat here soon and have a few questions. I know im getting a 14' i just dont know what make to go with. i would like a wider bottom for more stability but im not sure whats wide and whats not when it comes to jon's. I was looking at a 14x32 Alumacraft, is 32 wide enough? Not wide enough? What maker offers a wider boat? Thanks in advance.
  23. Thats the way it should be, hopefully thats his first of many.
  24. Hit up BrokeJu, he fishes Dobyns rods exclusively.
