I use a 6'10" MH/XF. I like the longer rod so i can cast a little further and keep the bait down longer. Medium heavy power because all but 1 of my rods are medium heavy. The extra fast tip for good hooksets.

I bought osme for the first time last weekend and havent had the chance to use it yet. Just a quick question, how often should it be applied? Once a week, once a month, every outing?

For topwaters your ideal action would be a fast or extra fast tip so when the fish comes up it allows her to inhale the lure more and it helps work the bait on top. For cranks your ideal rod would be a medium power moderate action unless your slinging out big cranks then you would be better off with a medium heavy. The reason for the moderate action is so the rod puts constant pressure on the fish, this is good because treble hooks can become dislodged easily because they have three hooks. I use a 7' medium heavy moderate fast rod for my cranks because thats what im comfortable with. For topwaters i have been using a 6'6'' rod because its shorter which is easier for me to work the bait on the top. As Flechero said, the medium heavy moderate fast would be a nice rod for general treble hook lures.

Sounds like you had an eventful day! I cant believe no one made an effort to help the people, thats sad. I bet it sure was fun watching the guy fail at backing in.

I think for the most part rod length is a personal preference. The shortest rod i own is a 6'6" that i use for topwaters, the only reason i prefer a 6'6" over a 7' is because for me its easier to work the bait. Other than that i use 6'10" and up.

I tried the CD-R's first and when it prompted me to insert the CD, when I did it, it just kept telling me to Insert a CD......like I had done nothing. Hmmm, i wish i could help but i don't know what the problem is then. I remember trying to use CD-RW's and it did the same thing you said, it would get 99% of the burn done and then it would tell me the disc is damaged or dirty and to replace it with a new disc. CD-R solved it for me. I remember WMP use to give me problems like that, i switched to i tunes and haven't had a problem yet. Maybe you should try i tunes.....

I have been disappointed in Versus. The only time they show Fishing shows is from 7-10 AM and then 11:30. The only show IMO that is worth watching is the BassPros, 11:30 Bill Dance comes on and i have no desire to watch that. Why am i still seeing deer hunting?! Cycling?! Versus needs to upgrade big time.

I bought a 600 yd spool of 12# Camo Green for 4.88$. They had a ton of this stuff from 6#-15# at BassPro yesterday although, im sure it differs at all BPS stores.
