  1. This reel was a pretty bad choice for me. It would backlash on about every cast and the gears started grinding. On top of that the bayonet lock that keeps the cover to the brakes and spool broke and won't lock. >. Don't waste your money. It was basically a Quantum Accurist without any of the good reliability.
  2. I bank fish a lot, but the gas prices and long drives don't mix well so I am stuck at my local park pond. There are virtually no fish within casting distance and the good structure is unreachable. :'(
  3. I would downsize my presentation to something smaller. Senkos are nice and so are small tubes (at least for me).
  4. Swimbaits work better for me in slanted joints but, to each his own.
  5. I am looking into another casting rod to become my new "All Purpose Rod". I have narrowed it down to a medium heavy action Kistler rod but I am not sure which length to choose. I am about 5' 2" in height but have handled 8 foot rods fairly well. I was looking at either the 6'9" or the 7'. Any advice appreciated.
  6. Looks really nice so far.
  7. I saw a guy fishing with a cane pole and a spinnerbait. he must have been fishing in less than a foot of water but he would move the lure so that the blades would move.
  8. A long rod definitly helps. A 7ft Medium Heavy rod with a fast tip spooled with heavy mono or braid is my choice.
  9. That is Defineitly a green sunfish. The mouth does look thinner though than what I have seen. It has the same look as a crappie's mouth to me.
  10. Yeah, there are more storm lures at my local target than at BPS.
  11. Where I am, the bass fry get curious and mess with my lures
  12. Great Fish! I am definitely going to look into those castaic swimbaits.
  13. I change my line when I notice any irregularities.
