kevin van dam sig baitcaster
This reel was a pretty bad choice for me. It would backlash on about every cast and the gears started grinding. On top of that the bayonet lock that keeps the cover to the brakes and spool broke and won't lock. >. Don't waste your money. It was basically a Quantum Accurist without any of the good reliability.

Have not heard from any Georgia boys or gals lately.
I bank fish a lot, but the gas prices and long drives don't mix well so I am stuck at my local park pond. There are virtually no fish within casting distance and the good structure is unreachable. :'(

Stumped...?
I would downsize my presentation to something smaller. Senkos are nice and so are small tubes (at least for me).

Swimbaits work better for me in slanted joints but, to each his own.

What Length rod should I choose?
I am looking into another casting rod to become my new "All Purpose Rod". I have narrowed it down to a medium heavy action Kistler rod but I am not sure which length to choose. I am about 5' 2" in height but have handled 8 foot rods fairly well. I was looking at either the 6'9" or the 7'. Any advice appreciated.

Whats the strangest way you've seen people fishing?
I saw a guy fishing with a cane pole and a spinnerbait. he must have been fishing in less than a foot of water but he would move the lure so that the blades would move.

flippin and pitching rod
A long rod definitly helps. A 7ft Medium Heavy rod with a fast tip spooled with heavy mono or braid is my choice.

HELP ME IDENTIFY FISH (another weird hybrid pic)
That is Defineitly a green sunfish. The mouth does look thinner though than what I have seen. It has the same look as a crappie's mouth to me.

When is a good time to change your line?
I change my line when I notice any irregularities.

Favorite Lizards
Zoom 6" Watermellon I caught a 12 inch bass on it and as I was fighting it, a 4 lb bass knocks it off the hook and chin hooks itself very deep, taking the place of the other bass.

Need Help
Whenever I try and use google earth the area around the lake comes out fine but the lake itself is blurred . I waited about 45 minutes (slow computer) but the image was still bad. I'll be sure to check out those tungsten weights.

Need Help
I forgot to mention this lake is not in Georgia but in Washington state. Thank you for the suggestion on the bottom dragging lures.

Need Help
In about a week I am going to be fishing a very small lake that I know little about. I don't have a depth finder and there aren't any contour maps available. Is there any way I can learn about the contour and the structure on the bottom. From my estimates the lake is 40 feet deep at the most. Any help is appreciated.

Wii sports is really fun but the boxing usually turns into a sort of slap fight. Super Smash Brothers Brawl is easily the best game out for Wii in my opinion

looking for a good baitcast reel but low budget.
For about $65 you can pick up a pflueger echelon. It is a pretty solid reel for the price in my experience.
