Remember all those gators we saw that day out in Saddle Creek? 8-) Same for gators... I've waded in old private phosphate pits with big (and I mean BIG) gators all around! Just keep an eye on them and don't feed or mess with them and you'll be just fine... they usually take off when you get close! Hope you got some good life insurance.

Hmm... I never tried fishing that Lake. Whats the average catch size? Do you normally catch a lot of small bass or a few really big bass? Id be willing to bet that Lake gets very little pressure, in comparison to the lake on the east side.

I would be interested in attending as well. I have posted about meeting up a few times actually, but nothing ever comes together. I know on other forums I visit they have individual chapters for members in different areas. Each chapter has a group coordinator who puts meets together and helps bring new members to the site. May be something for Glenn to consider.

Well after seeing some others cut and paste there plastics, I decided to give it a try. After some Testing I have come up with a few designs that outperform there original design and seem to hold up after more than 3 or 4 fish. From left to right: 1. Netbait Paca Craw with a GYCB Kreature skirt. 2. Ragetail Craw with a 5inch Senko 3. GYCB baby craw with a 5inch senko 4. GYCB Kreature, trimmed arms and bullet head.

I know he enjoyed it, he's only 2 and obsessed with fishing. He goes nuts if you try and take his fishing rod away from him when its bed time. ;D He would sleep with it if he could. Thanks for the responses..

I went out today with only one rod and one bait, with one thing on my mind. Learn to use a bait caster. I headed out with my Shimano Citica 200E rigged with a Rapala DT Crankbait. After twenty minutes or so of practice i felt pretty confident. So as I'M reeling in my last practice cast Bam I get nailed and begin to fight the first fish on the Bait caster. After that seemed natural. So I headed out and had a fairly good day, landed about six fish tournament size (1-3LBS). Lost two really nice fish one of which may have been over 8LBS!! Overall it was nice to be out and finally get a good handle on using a Baitcaster and starting to learn how to use Crankbaits.

I see.. I read on BPS review of people having problems with the reel seat on the spinning models. Anyone else have this problem?
