  3. Some bone chilling winter pictures from South Florida.
  4. It was in the 80's Today.
  5. ;D That made me LOL..
  6. Its funny, Because I couldnt understand where you were getting the 1/2 ounce thing till I checked the website. But yea thats a glitch, the rod is 7'6 Heavy rated for lure weight from 1 to 2 oz.
  7. These swimbaits: -http://www.mattlures.com/HardBluegill.htm -http://www.***.com/descpageHRDSTRIKESWIMSTRIKE-SKKS.html -http://www.***.com/descpageSPROSWIM-SBZSFS.html -http://www.***.com/descpageSWMMATT-MLBB.html -http://www.***.com/descpageSWMMATT-MLUBG.html -http://www.***.com/descpageSWIMTRUTUNG-TTMISS.html -http://www.***.com/descpageSEBSW-SMS.html I could go on further, but believe it or not there is a ton of swimbaits that weigh 2 oz or less. I'm glad you can list some baits under 2oz, but I don't see how it is relevant considering the rod in question is only rated for 1/2 ounce. Honestly, the only thing I would throw with that setup is smaller paddletails. NOT 1/2 ounce. Thats a gliche on there website. The actuall rating on the rod is from 1 to 2 ounces.
  8. Any way to get this stickied? So as the year progresses we can track how people are doing with there goals. People can post up as they work on there goals.
  9. BassBoss, Ill finish up with this thread and just wish you the best of luck. I hope you take some of my advice and not think im just bashing you. Good luck in life.
  10. Thanks Stu, good to hear.
  11. Here is my gift from "Simplejoe" What a generous man, Thanks again Joe Note *(The rod rack only not the rod and reels )
  12. Ill try it for swimbaiting and tossing large live bait. If its overkill than ill use it for Dolphin. ;D
  13. True, I got the setup for a steal so I bought it and figured Id ask questions later. I plan to fish all weekend so Ill get you a review by Monday.

Looks like a Florida Strain Large Mouth Bass and a Peacock Bass got together and made THE INCREDIBLE HULK BASS!
  17. Wow, just wow. Aside from the dead wife and the missing wife?!?!Whats the deal with getting married 5 times anyways. I'M sure the family is sick and tired of showing up for weddings every few years. ;D
  18. Good thing you changed the background... you don't want anybody stealing that "Toad" infested water : My one and only goal this year is to catch a DD . <-------PERIOD!!! Hanging with 4bizz and fishing those trout infested Cali waters. Its only a matter of time. ;D ;D

Very nice work Thad! Will you make a Spro BBZ 1 in Mayan Cichlid? http://www.sfffc.org/images/gallery/tamarac_mayan1.jpg
  20. I was wondering your thoughts on this setup, I purchased it to use for heavy jigs and light Swimbaits. -Okuma Spinning Reel Epixor 55a model http://www.okumafishingteam.com/reels/spinning/epixor.html -Spinning rod RB-467 7'6" 1 Heavy 15-30 1 - 2oz Hurricane Redbone http://www.redbone.org/rods_info.html I know I would have been better suited with a Baitcasting setup, but I havent mastered that skill yet. So for now Ill stick with what I know (spinning)
  21. Thats a good one, I really need to work on that this year as well.
  22. What are some things yall would like to accomplish in 2009 as far as fishing goes? For me, being that I'm relatively new to fishing. 1. Id like to move from catching big numbers of small bass 1-3 pounds. And start targeting Big Bass using big baits. I'M hoping for DD in 2009!! 2. Start using a drift sock on the Jon boat and master boat positioning. 3. Start using a double anchor system so I can more thoroughly fish a targeted area, without drifting away.
  23. Some of my most productive days were in the rain.
  24. Whats screwed up is the fact that this made news. Any business has the right to decline service to anyone at any time, with no explanation. This is America. Did anyone notice that WALMART actually filled there request.
