I love throwing weedless spoons around the edges of weed beds. I cast them as far as I can and crank it back sometimes throwing a couple jerks and twitches in. There great in fall when the bass are shallow and feeding. There also good for covering a lot of water. I thrown them on 10 to 12 pound mono in open water and heavier braid near weeds. Use a medium heavy rod. For trailers I like to take a soft jerk bait and cut it in half where the tail portion meets the thicker body. Then take the tail end and thread it on. You can also use a grub. I hope this is helpful
  19. I live just south of pittsburgh PA. We dont have a ton of big bass up here and a 4 or 5 pounder is a real hawg. I was wondering if these things would be worth a try on my waters or if I would be wasting my time/money. Thanks for any imput.

  21. Looks sweet to me
  22. PA-Novemeber 11th FL-January 7th ...too long for me
  23. I don't think so - I doubt it. How would you tell the difference? They usually have different coloration. They have more distinct spots. They are also more muscular than hatchery fish. If you look at their front fins they are generally much longer. Here's a pic of a nice native brownie i caught this year out a tiny steam in Northern PA.
  24. HAHAHAH how did you kno!?! She was threatening to break up with me! Luckly i talked her into keeping me lol
  25. All the big boys came on a white Boo Yah Pond Magic spinner bait. Surprisingly it way out fished the regular size spinner baits. I was just burning it right under the surface near any bait fish activity and clumps of reeds. I didn't have a scale on me so im not quite sure what they weighed. I'm sure the bigger ones were over 5 but tell me what you guys think they weighed
