  1. As long as the fish are not in a negative mood, then heck yea. When they don't feel like eating, and they're close to the bottom, you have to put the bait right in their faces; they usually will not come up even a few inches for food. I've thought about drop-shotting for 'eyes this year, but every time I have went it's been very tough conditions. Unfortunately I haven't had the right conditions for me to feel comfortable enough to drop-shot. Pretty much all my fish this year have come on slip-bobbers and Lindy rigs.
  2. I use the cheapest, oldest mono I have for backing. Not only to deter from slippage, but it fills up the room that would have been taken by the much pricier superline.
  3. His performance during halftime at the Superbowl, back in the 80's, had more viewers than the game itself. Amazing.
  4. Daiwa special oil is one of my all-time favorite scents. I think I look forward to opening a new box and smelling inside more than actually fishing the reel. Which rod did you score?
  5. Great pics Ken. Where abouts were you? Lets here about your set-ups. What rods, reels, line were used?
  6. If your purchase was recent, see if BPS will price match...it's worth a shot. Johnny Millionaire has deep pockets.
  7. Great bait. Gets down deep, and it trolls well too. I like to use it for bass around here mid-summer, as it utilized more as a walleye bait in these parts...gives them something they don't see too often. Great, crazy colors as well.
  8. Nothing like a good case of the wa-wa's. Wa wa wa wa wa wa wa..... Songs with helicopter sounds only add to the fun ;D (Metallica, Pink Floyd) Ah, the good old days when I didnt have to be responsible.... Yea, I miss them too. If you ever partake around a campfire, the noise the crickets make is pretty wild; not unlike the chopper sounds.
  9. I've had a Firefly press a few times...not bad. I like srv1990's drink the best.
  10. And the Cards have woke up!!! Feasting on K.C. is not exactly what I call waking up. OOPS. Just took a little nap against the Mets. Cubs didn't do much better though. :-[ GP- I think you mean the Cubs have been notching some big come from behind wins. If that's what you wanna call them. I expect the Crew to make a trade in the next week or two. Bush's next start has been scratched and Parra is down in Nashville. Also, Weeks' season-ending injury is KILLING the team.
  11. E10 is the only gas one can buy around here, it's the law. It was about fifteen years ago when they tried selling this stuff on us: better fuel economy, better for your engine, blah blah blah. Point is, this stuff is the worst. I know people who drive for hours to fill tanks with non-ethanol fuel. I can't blame them.
  12. Atta boy. Fluoro leaders are really starting to catch on in pike and ski circles...and for good reason.
  13. Awesome. That truly is 'Slime Time' Congrats! What kind of leader were you using?
  14. And the Cards have woke up!!! They're the only team that scares me in the division.
  15. Nothing like a good case of the wa-wa's.
  16. So are whippets. Those and stupid all-nighters go hand-in-hand.
  17. The Crew have been getting embarrassed by the Tigers, and the chubbies have been squeaking out some lucky ones....even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while.
  18. Powell rods are an option. You can also find St Croix LT's, which are labeled as tech specific, on fleabay all the time.
  19. Most of the Halloween movies. I'm a horror buff, and I still occasionally cover my eyes when Michael Myers is in the shot. It's the mask. I literally scares me to my core. The music doesn't help either. I've had a recurring nightmare since I was a boy, where Michael Myers is trying to kill me. I average a few a month.
  20. I still don't understand why Sorryano is 4th in All-Star balloting?
  21. What sauce did you go with? Very nice btw.
  22. Spinnerbaits, run into the posts, have always produced in my home waters. Shallow cranks as well. Wacky rigged senko baits, as mentioned before, are a favorite too. When I first started fishing docks, a t-rigged Powerworm was my bread-and-butter.
