Buh Bye Manny!
I've got a similar situation here. I got tickets to the Cards/Reds game to see Griffey. :'( You could drive a bit longer to the south side of Chi-town and make it an extended road trip.

I've been salivating the last few weeks at the prospect of those beautiful brown LE's on sale. If anyone gets wind, please post the source.

Winner winner chicken dinner. I've been out of town in the northwoods all weekend, it's nice to come back home and see the Cards lose and the Crew one game out. I'm not sure what model yet CJ, I still have some thinking to do.

Shouldn't be a problem Muddy, the Crew just took all four games in St. Louis. Chicago, can you hear footsteps? On a related note CJ, this series will decide the winner of the 'Great Crankbait Wager.' This is a three game series at NY, and we're tied 2-all. I can't believe I'm cheering for the Mets.

Three straight complete games for CC! Seven in a row for the Crew, and six on the road. Next week's chubbies @ Brew Town series is definitley going to have a playoff-like atmosphere. Go Crew and send them fibs packing.

Senko Rod questions
The Loomis BCR 854 is worth a look too. It has plenty of muscle to hoss a fish outta cover.

Steve Bartman is being offered some serious coin to make an appearance at a Chicago sports convention. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/blog/big_league_stew/post/Cubs-fan-Steve-Bartman-offered-25K-for-just-one?urn=mlb,95542 The fact that people are still blaming him for the chubbies losing the NLCS in 03' is about as pathetic as, well, not winning a championship in 100 years. ;D

I'm done.
I always recommend Walden by Thoreau, especially to an outdoorsman. After all my years as an American Lit/creative writing major, this is still my fav. On the Road by Kerouac is a fantastic read as well.

Daiwa Zillion......
I have a domestic 100SHLA that's tuned with ABEC 5 ceramics and a drag upgrade. I use this mainly for topwater work. I have used this reel for T-rigs, big jerkbaits, and spinnerbaits. The Zillion has the makings for a great C-rig, topwater, froggin', jig, and big plastics reel. This is a fantastic reel; it feels bulletproof. The bearing upgrade has allowed me to offer much smaller lures without the fear of a backlash or decreased casting distance.

St. Croix's ICAST offerings are up on TT...
WOW! St. Croix has been super busy this past year. Very Nice. I'm glad I've been holding out to pick-up a new rod for Lindy rigs. Those Legend Extreme's look awesome. SCVI??? That's Nuts. I wish they woulda had pics of the reel seats.

Daiwa= Michael Jordan
That's hilarious Natural, the vacuums and all. Your poor mother. The Sol/Alphas frame is everywhere. Then there's the Zillion knockoff, aka Quantum's KVD Signature Series Baitcast Reel.

Daiwa= Michael Jordan
You and everyone else, but it's just crazy when you put all of the reels next to the alphas/sol. Here is the old Michael Jordan commercial for those that don't remember it... *Warning...clicking on this link will likely get this jingle stuck in your head for at least 24hrs* Glass bottles, classic. I remember the summer that Jordan's Citrus Cooler flavor came out. For three straight months my allowance went to Gatorade, baseball cards, pellets for my gun, and fireworks.

COULD IT BE??????????
Hey Muddy. Just in time to talk some baseball, as your Mets are getting HOT. BTW, I saw Stevie Wonder last month....it was everything I hoped it was going to be and more. You were right, 'Sir Duke' blew me away. The horns were so very sweet.

Central WI storms.
Here in the SE part of the state, we had one big cell roll through. A lot of high wind, not so much rain. This weekend we're in for it. The forcast calls for 2-4" by sat.

Brett is a back up.
Tip- Do you mean pro-Favre or anti-Favre protesters? I ask because they've had pro-Favre rallies as far south as State Fair Park. Matt- I never said Rodgers can play in the cold, I just said Favre can't. I've watched almost every single game he has ever played at the pro level; he simply can't get it done in the bitter cold anymore. I do agree with you on Rodgers and the injury bug. I'm very concerned about that. But hey, we've been spoiled with Favre and his ironman streak. If Rodgers goes down, we'll finally know what it feels like to have the Pack's starter miss a game. I'm glad they drafted Brian Brohm just in case.

I know, I just can't believe it. Marmol was nasty earlier in the seaon, but his ERA over the last month has been over 7.00.

Carrot Stix Rods
Kinda off topic, but does anyone have a photo of a Conquest or Calcutta on a Carrot Stix?

THE PENNANTS ARE "ALMOST" IN VIEW AND THE TRASH IS FLYING- 2008
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, there are so many cubs in the game because it is fashionable to be a cubs fan. People see them doing well and vote in record numbers for way too many undeserving players. Dempster, Big Z, and Aramis all desrve to be there, but that's about it. When I saw Marmol made it, I about wet myself laughing.
