After college I managed a park here in SE WI; I was on the same schedule. I loved it, especially in the summer. Every other week was like a vacation. I would go north to my fam's cabin, fish for five days, and when I came home I still had a weekend to catch-up on yard work, pay bills, etc. Good to here everything is going well Hook.

He hasn't been in the rotation for a month and a half. If he stumbles, that's Iowa's problem. I was referring to the fact that the second half of the season is always Hill's time to take a dive. I have a 201DPV I bought in Feb. when they had the $50 rebate (which I still haven't seen) that I will most likely be selling and replacing with a Revo Winch. I have only used this reel about a dozen times and is in new condition. Do you happen to know the IPT for the Winch? It isn't up on Abu's website yet.

I would not be surprised if Ned Yost doesn't have a job come Monday. He's probably not going anywhere, yet, but the level the team is playing at, with the talent they have, is totally unacceptable.

A sporting goods store around here, won't mention name, has one of those guys I try to avoid every time I'm there. Literally every single time I have talked to him, and we start talkin' tackle, he gets this really snobby tone to his voice and says, "well I own over thirty St. Croix rods." Like he is something special, us customers don't know anything, and I should bow down to him. This guy has singlehandedly drove my business to the store's main competitors.

I've felt the same way. It's getting pretty scarce here too. I've been worrying about this for a few weeks now. God, I hope it's not going anywhere.

My buddies and I take an annual walleye trip every year to Wisconsin's northwoods. This trip is where I break out the cheaper stuff and leave the mg reels and super high modulus rods at home. Each boat has two to three people in it, and a lot of our 'eye fishing is done at night. Well, those of us who are not driving the boat are usually drinking booze/beer/wine pretty heavily. A crowded boat, in the dark, with a few drunks = leave the high-end tackle back at camp.

I read an AP article the other day about how Kyle Busch is NASCAR's new villan, or badboy.....give me a break. Badboy is a huge step-up from what Busch really is: a whiny little dork who doesn't think the rules apply to him, but loves to blame others and let them know when they've done wrong. He so wishes he was a badboy. He is purposely putting on this tuff persona like this is how he's always been. And what's up with him talking like he's a veteran driver who's been racing forever? What a joke.

The chubbies lucked out and escaped Webb. They did give the L to Haren, I'll give them that. He only gave up two earned, but it was enough for a loss.

Cut bait. We use strips of discarded belly meat from salmon and trout from Lake Michigan. We cut it into chunks. It works great and it's free.
