Best 7' Crankbit Rod Ufor $100.00
I agree with the board here: if you can find a pre-08' Avid buy it, otherwise a BPS Crankin' Stick is tuff to beat for the $. I purchased the BPS rod years ago, have beaten the crap out of it, and it's still crankin' away.

Broken Fin Fishing Fools
That's wonderful news Tony. As always, you are in my prayers.

fishing deep
Carolina rigs, cranks, and jigs.

What reel would you pair with this rod?
The 8030 should balance out well on that rod. For a 6' med-lite rod, 160/6 should be plenty.

What's on the menu tonight?
An italian with peppers and sauce, a warm cup of ginger pear tea, a few glasses of water, and maybe some fruit.

Loomis Frog Rod
I've not fished this rod before, but I have heard the word "poolcue" used to decribe it numerous times. I haven't heard many good reviews on this rod.

New Country
A few years back at the Brickyard 400, we saw Montgomery Gentry perform the National Anthem. They sounded great. Sara Evans makes my heart skip a beat every now and then.

running
I used to be an avid runner. I ran cross-country in high school, and eventually accepted a scholarship to run in college. I wasn't a big fan of track, but cross I loved. CC season mostly takes place in Autumn, which makes it all the nicer. Our season would begin in the late summer, and end in late October; all the while we were able to watch the leaves and our natural surroundings change, as we mostly practiced and competed in parks. Those are some of my fondest memories. The scents were heavenly.

Loomis MBR844c IMX or Mossyback BCR854?
If you want the most sensitive stick of the two, go with the IMX. The Mossyback is faster, and the IMX should be lighter. If you are looking for a dedicated jig/worm rod, the BCR854 GLX is the answer to your prayers. Keep an eye on that certain online auction site.

THE PENNANTS ARE "ALMOST" IN VIEW AND THE TRASH IS FLYING- 2008
The Brewers played their final two Spring Training games @ Miller Park, and I was lucky enough to make it there today. The Crew got a 5-2 W over KC. All seats were only $10!!! We were right behind homeplate, about 20 rows up. It was really nice to be back in the park: the great sounds, nachos, watching the pitch count, having a cold beverage, keeping an eye on the bullpen. Ahhhh.

I wouldn't watch the Stooges any other way.

Braided vs Fireline
If you are going to Canada, I'd have one designated rig for pike. Leave the braid you already have on and tie on either a 7-strand or pre-made fluoro leader in 60, 80, or 100 lbs (depending on what your fishing). http://www.muskyshop.com/modules/cart/navigate.php/nav_id/12

Best tough guy actor on tv/in movies
Ooooh good choice! 8-) You bet. Bronson would walk up to a perv on the subway and shoot him in the gut with a snubnose, then watch him bleed to death. Almost forgot, Chuck Norris doesn't sleep, he waits. ;D

Broke my Avid...replace it or upgrade it?
If you have the dough I say heck yea; it's well worth it. How much did you like your Avid? Why not pay a bit more and increase that smile. The LT has a better blank and aesthetically, well, it's the cat's meow.

1.5oz weedless football jigs
I fish jigs this big, but for pike. I go with either the J-Mac, the Esox Cobra by Bait Rigs Tackle Co., or the Lil' Hustler swim jig. I usually rig a 6' Salt Shaker shad on them. I fish these deep to shallow. By deep I mean about 30' or so. I swim them and hop 'em on the bottom. Lunker City makes a 4" version that'd be just fine for bass. Try your homemade jigs on deep structure. You could also try rigging them with a Kalin's 5" grub.

Favorite Buzzbaits
My all-time producer is the old Leverage buzzbait by McGuinness. My PR also came on this bait. Over the years I have lost only one fish on this bait, and that's without a trailer hook.

SI has the chubbies over the Rockies in the NLCS, and the Tigers over the Yanks in the ALCS. : They have the Tigers taking it all. If Detroit picks-up some pitching it's a possibility. They'll score a BUNCH of runs per game, but as of right now, it looks like their bullpen will give just as many up.

Best reel covers for small profile casting reels?
Daiwa makes an awesome, thick cover. TW sells them, though they can be had for cheaper. I have one on my TD-Z, and it has done a great job protecting the mg frame. http://www.***.com/descpageACCDAIWA-DCRC.html
