I think I have lost it....
The guys are right, take some time off fishing T's. Don't even worry about them. I have never fished a tourney in my life, on the open water that is. Everytime I get a chance to go I feel like a kid, just as jrhennecke said, even on hard water. Take a big step back, and then remember why you started fishing in the first place. Next time you go, don't worry about figuring out a pattern, or changing the color of your jerkbait three times, or thinking about what the rest of the field is doing.......Just fish. Relax. Smile. Watch the shoreline for wildlife, smell your hands after taking a clump of weeds off your jig, enjoy the equipment you're using. Now that's fishing my friend.

Awesome Trick Shot
I've been on the giving and receiving end of that one. Never gets old. We used to run that trick on people we knew were underage at our old hangout.

Shimano Core 101?
Looks like *** will have these available next week. http://www.***.com/descpageRLCSHIMANO-SCOCR.html The only downfall is the $350 price tag. One could just about purchase a Conquest 101 for that price. I know they're two different reels, but for an all-around.......

Yum and Gulp...
I would definitely recommend purchasing some YUM baits. I'm a big fan of the Vibra King Tube and the Yum Chunk. I've heard fantastic things about the Muy grub. Great product.

Daydreaming of being in a different industry.
-I'd love to design disc golf courses. The possibilities are endless here. I once played a course in Oregon that started at 6,600 ft above sea level. We had to take a gondola up the mountain to hole one, and it played all 18 down the mountain. Incredible. -The Arts. More specifically the written word. Constructing, proofreading, workshopping, etc. Creative or expository, doesn't matter. Hopefully someday. I devoted five years of my life to the written word in school, with several more as soon as I can afford it.

NO BOAT/PIER
Start the moring off with a reaction strike bait like a topwater, spinnerbait, or crank. As the day goes on switch to a T-rig or jig. I have a few brush piles off of our pier, and my #1 producer is a T-rigged worm.

Summer Jobs
See if some of the local construction co.'s need a high school guy to run wheelbarrows, pick-up nails, etc. It's tuff work, but the paycheck more than makes up for it. Especially for a guy your age. Money for gas, fishing, the ladies, b...soda.

Most Expensive Set Up
A Daiwa TD-Z 103ML mounted on a Loomis BCR852 GLX. Sweet combo. Small jigs, worms, shakey heads, etc. This spring I'm going to try it for Lindy rigs for walleye.

Rogue ?
That's about it. As you said about the red eyes rboat, not all the red eyed models suspend. Some of the floating super rogues have the red eyes. http://www.lurenet.com/productdetail.aspx?id=5294 I know for sure that all of the limited Rouges suspend and have red eyes.

Ideal topwater rod?
A 6' 3" medium powered rod, fast tip. Either co-poly or mono. For buzzbaits I like a bit longer rod. Does anyone have experience with the Loomis topwater rod in the bronzeback series? It's 5'10", MH, F. Model is SMR702C-TW.

Anyone else here have Tennis Elbow?
I have a bad case of disc golf elbow. I throw sidearm, and in a very unorthodox manner at that. All of those years of crankin' discs with such a goofy release finally caught up. I can really feel it when I'm casting big bucktails for toothy critters, or deep cranks for bass.

Reel and Rod combo for lures...
This is definitley a question for the rods/reels/line forum. Unless I'm deep cranking, I like a medium powered rod. If I'm going deep, then a MH. For open water cranks, get the longest rod you're comfortable with. I prefer a slow reel for most of my crankin, something around 21-23 IPT. Most reels with a 5.1:1 ratio fall into this category. The only exception to this is shallow cranking, then I prefer a fast reel. For most spinnerbait work, a MH rod is the way to go. The reel depends upon what you do most. If you find yourself slow-rolling big baits a lot, a lower gear ratio is the way to go. For general spinnerbait work, a 5.8:1 - 6.3:1 will do a great job.
-
How is this 3-Rod setup?
You might want to switch to mono or co-poly on your Cruixs. Since this is your crankin' rod, this change in line will provide some shock absorption. Especially if you feel the rod already has fast tip; the no-stretch Power Pro could result in a lot of lost fish.

THE PENNANTS ARE "ALMOST" IN VIEW AND THE TRASH IS FLYING- 2008
I'll take that bet. I'll take a DT by the way. Pretty confident! That's good! I prefer a DT16 or DT7 flat. You betcha. The Mets are going to be tuff this year. The NL may come down to them and maybe the D'backs. Anyone but the chubbies. I bet you a second Rapala that even the perennial cellar-dwellers Reds finish the season with a better overall record than the Cards.
