  1. Pennix out of those 2 I would go with the Garmin but either one would work well for you .   2. The 551DV is a 550c with DV I have a 550 and its a fantastic little unit I say go for it and pay no attention what the pros use pick what works for you and enjoy

  6. Finally took the boat out today It ran 23 MPH with just me and the gas/battery Wanted to see what it would do with the 5HP Suzuki and it pushed it 12MPH jumps right on plane even with the 5
  7. I have used one of those before they work pretty good just not to my liking think I am going to glue a board to the transom with 5200 sealent or gorilla glue and try that .

  9. There's a HP limit. I believe it's 250. ;D yeah you aint gonin nowhere! ;D it really wouldn't matter, they'd find ya anyway.. Yea just after ya pulled up on a spot and got everything settled down here would come 20 boats' and scare all the fish off.
  10. Anyone have any cool way's to mount tranducers on jon boats without drilling hole's in boat and without mounting on trolling motor.I have seen the board.s but there has to be another way . I was thinking of useing some square alum tubing mounted to back of boat through the handle and screwed at the top and maybe glued at bottom and a flat piece at the bottom of the tubing for the transducer any one have any idea's
  11. I know that the fans wanna watch there favorite angler but d**n there should be a limit to how many there are maybe a drawing of some sort with a limit of 5 per angler
  12. Sitting here watching it on TV and thinking that if I had that many guy's following me around the lake I would be carrying a Drill with a hole saw and sinking some of them to get some peace and quiet there is no way I could fish with that many people all around me

  14. The Big silver screw's you are talking about ;D are number 10 Stainless Steel screw's from Lowe's and inserted in to number 10 finishing washer's makes it real easy to change the carpet when needed it's not glued just stapled underneath

  17. What do ya'll think picked it up about a month ago .Its a JR1436 Crestliner need to install the electronic's yet but no rush.
  18. get mine at lowes also seems to wear good and dont cost a fortune.
  19. I just put a 36 powerdrive on my Jon Boat should be plenty fo it.
  20. No 2 wheel drive work's fine never had a problem.

Thanks for the reply cart7 I understand how a prop work's just wondering why this prop is a 9 1/2 x 12 1/2 when all the charts from Michigan wheel,solas,Turning Point call for a 9 1/2 x 10 the only thing I can find that says any different is at Discountprop.com Its the only place that size is mentioned and it says it's mainly for 1993 motor's was it a speed prop?

Hey All just a quick question I just picked up a 1995 15HP Johnson and the prop is a little nicked up but not bad was looking for props and all the charts say that it need;s a 9 1/2 x 10 but the prop thats on it is a 9 1/2 x 12 1/2 and its a stock prop.So whats the deal is that a special prop or what Thanks
