mini sandblaster
Just curious if anyone has used the little sandblaster from Harbor Freight? Looks like an airbrush and uses different grit sand. I didn't see it one their website I just saw it at the store. I'm lucky enough to have one a block from my house. The one I'm talking about looks just like a gravity feed airbrush with a large plastic hopper. Anyway just curious if anyone had used it.

a messed up sunfish and foiled clown
chipmunk, that is a plastic crank from Vanndalizer. Just go to his site and there is a link there to his crankbait site. That is the small one. I haven't seen this lure for a while. It sure is ugly I think. I gave it to my preacher a long time ago. I did a better one later. Liked it alot more.

new bait with short video
yeah I think the flounder is awesome just not what I think of as a baitfish. However they aren't around anywhere I fish. They may be they breakfast of champions for all the big saltwater fish. Anyway, they look great.

new bait with short video
I saw these over on TU and commented there. I thought of something I didn't know if you had tried. I don't know if you posted the founder on here but I was thinking ...what if you took that side swimming concept but made the profile a little narrower like a regular baitfish and painted it regular. Then it would be like a wounded bait fish swimming on it's side. Some big manufacturers have done this except they don't have the right swimming action. Theirs is kicking like a regular swimbait but with the paint job sideways. Yours would be much more natural looking. You've probably already thought of this but I just thought it would be cool.

start making crankbaits something to think about
Just thought I would give a visual example of what everyone was saying. This is just a few days of work that only shows some of the slop and mess ups that occured. I agree the painting is the easy part.

Aluminite
You can order it online. Alumilite has a website and you can also get it from larry dahlberg's site. I'm sure there are other places. As far as wire through, just do it like you would wood. You can drill holes through it like the wood. Better yet, mold a finished bait and then make a wire harness that matches up to the eyelets in your mold. Then pour the resin in. Haven't tried it but it should work.

Aluminite
Some people use twisted wire and some just use screw eyes. BTW, it's Alumilite.

lathe made wood cranks
You can copy anything that is cylindrical in nature, or in other words the same all the way around. You can have different contours but that contour is the same all the way around the bait at that particular point on the bait. So something like a spindle can be copied but it is the same diameter at any given point all the way around. Do a google on the copy carver. I bought the plans for it a while back and am anxious to try it out.

Depends on how many bass tournaments you win with them.lol

Painting bullet weights?
I would try some of the vinyl paints from creative solutions. That paint gives a little and is very durable. Or you could paint with whatever you want and coat in the vinyl clear. It isn't brittle like nail polish but, as I said earlier, somewhat flexible.

Finished more baits
i hope I'll be able to that kind of work someday.

Lavender and Natural Shad
Looks good. Not to steal anymore info than I already have but do you build the nose of the bait a little bit with an epoxy or filler of some kind, or is the wood just that shape. If this is out of line disregard the question. I was just curious.
