  1. yea it was warm yesterday but there is still ice out on the water im hoping that the rain here should clear the rest up but im not sure its calling for cold weather tomorrow as well
  2. hmm yea possible i just normally cast and bounce the bottom yea im going to have to try slowing down i got to check into that bluff bite. what types of jigs do u use
  3. hmm yea now i really want to go to the river with u so u can show me some and how to fish them hmm do u have any certain presenations for them?
  4. the sunshine showdown on the harris chain of lakes is taking place this weekend and im kinda excited all the experts are expecting huge fish catches and huge bags does anyone have any predictions? i think that either preston clark or terry stroggins will win dean rojas might have a good tournament too with the frog maybe
  5. o really wow i never really fished them on that river i mean i seen one and would quick cast it and catch some but i for what ever reason really never took the time to fish them throughly hmm they dont look good for holding fish hmm thats something i will have to look into
  6. hmm yea i fish them and catch some on them no quality to the fish idk why either it seems to be a great bait but only dinks or rock bass will eat them i found alot more success using softplastics hmm idk i fish a bunch of different rivers and i really never found them really effective i will use them on creeks though for trout and catch a few
  7. bluffs? really what presentations do u use for them i know of a few little ones and i dont change up my presentation and catch some off of them
  8. i dont think it matters but if u feel it does i know of a way of painting them take a shoe box open it up and stick toothpicks all around on the edge of it then take the color u want in spray paint i just use black and spray them quick if u want to get hitech u can add some red or green flake (optional) then when the spray paint drys just add a quick layer of ememble or appocayse so u get a nice finish and it wont chip as easy
  9. make sure to use swivels when it calls for it if u get line twists with fluoro it can really create some problems since flouro tangles alot easier than other lines
  10. yea i had a few problems on the backcast when im not careful my bait hooks into a tree limb or weed and i get a real mess but as long as you are smart and careful u should be fine
  11. rig it straight on a football head jig head and cast to under cut rocks or ledges and just let it sink and the smallies cant stand it in green pumblkin or watermelon/redflake
  12. yea i cant stand those things those broken dams and wingdams on that river really produce alot of fish its hard to find some of the points/wingdams though sometimes there are alot of them up there in bedford/camp hartley area
  13. hmm intersetting i use rapala jointed shad in the fall and then chatterbaits, worms and tubes in the spring then a bunchof stuff in the summer on creeks i never had any luck on spinnerbaits period
  14. YEA I use sharpies to color a blueback crank to a black back crank and add a dot above the gill to make it look like a shad and actually improved my catch with that bait

  16. when u say drifting are u just drifting riffles or are u drifting wing dams or timber?
  17. o wow lot of info thanks i try topwater and flukes but never have much success if we get a chance to go to that river together u will have to show me how to fish that ditch or trench u are talking about it sounds awesome
  18. o ok yea i have some chunks and some beavers im going to stop at the gander moutain before i go to pick up some extra jigs and then im going to look for some paca craws as well i sure hope it works but it seems like ice out isnt for 3 more months with this snow i keep gettin
  19. adding a few simple splitshots will do the trick
  20. o really? ive been looking for some durable cranks for that very thing ive been using rapalas which work great but if i wack one of a rock on the cast they just explode and the bill damages up quite quickly after a few days of banging in boulders hmm thats interesting thanks alot ak do u have suggestions on color or anything?
  21. yea i catch and release PA has rules protecting spawning bass you can fish for them but its a immediate catch and release with no tournaments permitted so thats one thing i really like
  22. oo ok yea i dont think i fished that far up i had to of been close hey i was wondering what baits u use for those weedy flats i know of a bunch of grass flats like that on the river but i really dont do very good around them also what bait do u use for the channel u were describing sounds like a good DS bite lol
  23. i found a little secret spot that has 25 feet deep stumps and i can fish it from the shore well i decided as soon as ice out on a nice day i will go there after work and fish it quick with a jig im not use to jig fishing in early spring i was wondering if anyone had any recomndations for a trailer i was planning to use a 1/2 or 3/4 ounce jig but need to find a trailer
  24. hmmm where is that at excalty i remember some water right above cypher but nothing like what ur describing
