  1. i lost my wire from my camera to my computer i have to go get a new one i took a pic of them just didnt upload the pics yet
  2. i was sitting here bored and figured out a way to make your own screw in weights very easy 1. get a pair of pliers, a bullet weight and a clicky pen or mechnical pencil 2. take the spring of of the pen 3. clip off the bunched up sides to get a good piece of spring and then pull it out in lenght alittle 4. take one side and straighten it out with the pliers then feed it through the bullet weight 4. b. staighten it out so it isnt cocked eye and bend over the tab at the top of the weight 5. make sure everything is lined up and go fishing ive just made two its not hard im just really bad at explaining things
  3. yea the only ones i change are the hooks on the bill lewis Rat-L trap they suck but other than that you are safe keeping factory hooks on baits all the articles u read are sponsored by those hook companies just trying to get your money
  4. i really really like the zoom speed craw great bait for muddy or flooded waters also a good jig trailer i used the speed worms before but i dont do a whole lot better on them than other worms and i like super flukes for schooling bass
  5. yea i winterize mine too but u never know when there will be a problem and i have no idea how long it will take a mechanic to fix it since im not a mechanic lol
  6. yea there is not very many public or even private ponds that i know of around here a few small res. but thats it i want to get the boat out not only to fish but to make sure there is no problems with it and if there is i have time to get it fix before the spawn
  7. wow im taking a 3 day trip down the south branch of the potomac the first weekend in may the last time i went down i used a zoom superfluke almost the entire time the best line and rod i would say is 10 lb test flouro on a medium or medium high spinning rod that was in august like i said im going in early may and im not sure what is going to work but i can tell you as soon as i get back just PM me if u have any questions on anything i cant wait float trips are fun
  8. i used braid and flouro i like the braid for weeds and trees that kind of stuff but if im fishing it in more open water and/or for more finess techiques like the spawn or wacky style i use flouro
  9. x-rap or tube works pretty good for me nearly all season long a jig is up there too

  13. hey sorry for intruding on your conversion but hey brett what were u using, what presentation and what depth where u fishing when u caught 32 that day?
  14. depends mostly on the forage if they are both eating the same food then yea smallmouth are big time crawfish eaters while largemouth like minnows more
  15. hmm i love sight fishing for spawning bass but if the water is murky thats gonna be a tough thing to do i like fishing flats with a zoom ultravibe craw or worm i like it texas rigged let it fall and drag really slow on the bottom if there is any bank grass or cattails on the bank line fish little pockets or coves in them alot of the time a bass will make a bed there
  16. yea i would try dicks too they are currently having a big sale on bereky rapala diawa and some other companies that i dont remember i bet u can get them there and for a low price
  17. o yea brett did a good job descibing it actually last year i fished the late spawn around a tapering ledge shallower there was largemouth and then deeper there was smallmouth i used the same bait and on any given cast i could have caught a smallmouth or largemouth
  18. last year i did really good on chatterbaits in the prespawn for smallies for largemouth i use jerkbaits and did ok im going to be fishing the prespawn alot this year so i hope i can figure it out
  19. i would say that it would be tough up here smallies grow faster but then slow down immediatly while largemouth grow consistantly throughtout their lives so an average largemouth is just a little bit larger than a smallie so i would say a smallmouth depends though sometimes largemouth because they relate more to structure that can cause lost in time if they get wrapped up in it
  20. yea got 2inches here in SW PA
  21. i have been seeing alot of the senkos or stickbaits with built in lead the first one i seen had pieces of lead throughtout the entire bait then yesterday on Hank Parker OM i seen he was talking about a worm with two pieces of lead in it that will fall horizonal down he said it works great for the spawn and with the balanced weights its a great wacky rig it caught my eye and i was wondering if anyone uses them or has any info on them thanks
  22. i fish creeks sometimes but i have never tried topwater anything on them a buddy of mine fishes creeks all the time and he is going to try frogs this year on them
  23. i love fishing rocks well think about what lives around rocks...... crawfish and lots of them my favorites are jigs and then crigger and speed craws the yum crawbug is also great baits for rocks if they come out of the water topwater poppers work great for smallmouth largemouth will come up too though
  24. lol yea the one bite i got scared the hell out of me i throw to a spot and on the way down the bass just crushed it and caught me by surprise and miss o well yea i usually suck fishing this time of year im alot better in the heat of summer lol
  25. im not sure if this works or not never tried it but i heard people using those silcon gel packs found in shoe boxes and that throw one or two of them in a tackle box and they will asborb the moisture instead of the metal hooks and blades
