  2. try small lipless cranks maybe a small chatterbait if those dont work try your traditional soft plastics
  3. its no different then just the natural shad color that Rapala makes KVD was paid to use and promote it a bass cannot pick out the detail like that ecspecially a crank which is always moving
  4. yea i watched it live WOW howard is just unhuman what about that guy blowing out the cupcake? wow
  5. fish wood i fish a natural lake in my area and i target laydowns and a few stumps and wack them these is the only natural lake i fish there isnt alot of timber in the lake but all of it holds fish
  6. yea i have no idea o well i just cant wait to go fishing on that creek its so much fun i want to try the basstrix so bad there just to see how those smallies react to it
  7. i use shakey head a good bit and it is one techinque that i really believe that the type of rod and line makes a huge difference in your catch rate any 7-7 1/2 foot spinning rod would work that is medium or medium fast action then line depends on water clarity i think you get better action with mono so for most cases try 6-10 pound mono for very very clear water 4 pound mono or 6-12 pound flouro flouro will ruin the action alittle so be careful on selecting a line good luck
  8. o man i know i just want to creek bass fish so bad right now i actually just cant wait for this ice out just to get back out on the water and fish even though i usally dont caught much this time of year
  9. ok cool i was actually thinking that smaller profile cranks would produce pretty good there thanks
  10. hey cujo what baits do u use? since im going on my buddy's boat i will be limited to the tackle to bring just wondering if there is any baits i absolutly most take thanks
  11. ok thanks brad and dean thats what im thinking so im definety going to find them for a reasonable price and grab some of them
  12. yea thats what im going to do from now on it sucks its a good day if i catch 6 or 7 alot of carp in them creeks the allegheny is nice but really far away
  13. i like bereky vanish its very flexible while comparing to other flouros and it tangles less but still has that great invisiblity under the water its my favorite i have never tried that sunshine stuff
  14. o really thats neat i didnt know that hmmm i normally fish around rock and laydowns and docks not so much grass should i buy them or just forget them for now?
  15. hmmm i think i know where u mean but i thought that it was a papermill not a powerplant i fished it twice before once for trout upstream where the savage river dumps into at then behind the ball parks for bass i did pretty good on a small jig and pork and on a bomber 2a in baby bass but i dont know for this time of year. that water is really dirty and populated so i will never go back down there i have no idea how fish survive in it what part of it where u going to fish right where the water is dammed up for the plant?
  16. not really boat positoning is key for good presentation so your baits will produce differently from boat or shore. my favs are tubes and senkos the only cranks worth buying are shallow runners also around dropoff banks and points try some jigs or suspended jerkbaits like the rogue or x rap
  17. i have just found a new bait that yum is producing called the big show craw i found it interseting because it haves a little different look and profile then your regular craws just wondering if anyone has any luck on them or any tips on using them http://www.lurenet.com/productdetail.aspx?id=YBSC3149
  18. o yea wow i fish some creeks up north around bulter and indinia i fish a creek somewhere by keystone power plant where plum creek meets some other creek i fish slippery rock creek and the allegheny river way up in potter county i think where it is really small for smallmouth but little wills is my favorite but wills will probably become my first after this year
  19. i never fished it before but i have a trip planned for in may my neighbor always fishes it he told me he fishes practically the entire river but the best section is above harrisburg somewhere and i think there is a launch up there somewhere i will keep u posted on how i do when i go
  20. i just got a few packs of them havent used them yet but i cant see them being any worse than normal tubes but im not sure i cant wait to try them out
  21. yea i use t rig for the 3.5 in and longer then with the smaller ones i just either use it as a trailer or if im fishing around rock with no weeds i will just put them on a 1/8ounce jighead naked and cast it out
  22. no not really i fish the conemaugh down below the power plants here but thats a river the only creeks i fish is wills, little wills, dunnings run then savage river down in md and the little potomac thats why i really want to see how good the fishing is at stoneycreek
  23. hmmmmmm lets think aaaa....... smallmouth without a doubt no conparison to any of the other bass the next greatest bass would have to be spotted bass those little things are pretty fiesty then probably your largemouth
  24. ok wes i will send u a pm with all the info
  25. o ok i was just wondering i figured they were just trout streams but i really like fishing creeks for bass so i was thinking if they were bass streams maybe i should take my rod down with me when i go well thanks
