  1. well now that is one hell of a loaded question.. It really depends upon the type of water and where I am fishing.. Really life is strange and any day on the water is an awesome thing.... Have a great time and I hope we all catch what we need.. Duane
  2. A Dream Trip.. Well Since there is no boundaries listed... I would like a dream trip that lasted several years, practice fishing and then tournament fishing in the BIG tournaments.. Oh yeah after I remember how to fish... LMAO... Oh Mortgage heck.. It's time to go food shopping tomorrow, gotta refinance today to buy that hamburger... Have a great night... No honestly though, I would love to have that rich uncle to let me fish for a living for awhile... Don't forget, panfish always taste great... Duane
  3. Over the years, I have found that it really depends upon where we are and what type of waters we are on... If I am up North or Central or down South... And it also may depend upon what type of information is available for the body of water that you are fishing... I know that this reply is very general, but take a bit of all of them and then try several spots that you have pinpointed through them... I can remember quite a few years ago when I was fishing a tourney up North on a pretty small lake.. Even at that time there was lots of info and maps for the lake... and I had only fished it once before... To no avail as everyone seemed to be finding those "great" spots.... I was cruising down the lake and graphed something that looked strange, in the "middle of nowhere"... Funny thing I landed several very nice fish and ran my silly self right up the leaderboard... Again, it all depends upon the water you are fishing on...
  4. ok.. ok.. Sure tempt me and leave me.. I would love to go.. But one unfortunate thing... Due to a recent divorce and other difficulties... I am without boat and fun... I hope everyone has a great time... LOL...
  5. I have to say.. Electronics are great... But what happens if the everything goes on the fritz while out fishing.. I can mark them up and store things that I may want too keep for memory.. Also, if I have locations that ALWAYS produce I have a copy that I can permanently mark for structure, etc... If it is a lake that I am on, I may also keep a copy that is plastic coated so I can Charcoal pencil things in when I am practicing... Have a great time and good fishing... Duane
  6. Ahhh the mighty bait monkey for such a little fellow he sure is a nasty boy... I used to get it all the time... Then when I got divorced, everything got confiscated and seemed to disappear... Actually she got everything and I mean everything.. Including all 30 of my rods.. Very nice pricey things most of them custom expensive things the bait monkey made me buy.. my 1 year old super sweet 20 foot bass rig, and all the tackle I had... Now I regrettably am forced to start over.. And let me tell you.. It sucks.. But as soon as possible, the bait monkey will get me again.. LOL.. Have a great night all.. PS.. Seeking a fishing partner and a tourney partner in Florida.. Drop me a note... Duane
  7. I have been to a couple of them and they are great... Take the time and browse... You can find good deals if you look... Go through some of the expos and make sure you get to the weigh ins.... They are great... I missed last years... Made Orlando's in '06 and it was an awesome time.. Oh made quite a few before that, but hey.. We don't have to go that far back.. Have a great time...
