Okay well I need to know some of the things for Jig Fishing. I know its different than white perch jiging. What kind of rod/ reel do I need, lb line, etc. How to pitch, whatever else there is to know. Any info is appreciated.

I am 16 and I am looking into sponsorships for a pro- angler job I know I am going to pursue. bass master classic or bust. I am going to college and I am going to major in buissiness most likely fishing on a college team. I see that the youth of american fishing is good because we are younger and we will be around longer and at times we have better technology skills. The youth of american fishing is wanting sponsors because we are seriouis about something and sometimes it seems like a sponsor is the only one who will support us in our dreams. My parents think it is ridiculous I want to fish for a living, so basically they dont support me in my dream and they never really have for me or any of my three brothers. I wont be able to fish any JR tournaments but as soon as I turn 18 I will be fishing on a Amatuer level working my way to the bassmaster series.

well okay but some of the things I read were just nut busters but I guess I am just different. I think its pretty ridiculous though that someone uses a spelling joke and he just gets a mudhole stomped in him but I guess Im just whining because I am just a lil girl or something someone would say except for fear of being kicked off the site but I do understand the criticism for the resumes( I spelled it completly wrong and I dont care thats why word has spell check) So call me a :'( I dont care. But anyway I hope somebody replies on my question.

Okay theres one slight Issue with my resume. I have no tournament fishing experience. I guess I should look into some amatuer tournaments in Louisiana. If any one knows of any sort of amatuer torunaments in LA please reply.

Well just reading the first couple of replies all I can say about what these guys have learned is Dont post on this darn site.

Anybody know of any schools in Louisiana ( other than NorthWestern) that have a bass fishing team. What does it take to get on the team just showing up or do you have to be invited?

He actually sold the comapny a few years ago. He still gets money from it but makes no decissions about the comapny or somethi ng like that. He does own a thriving buissness close to TOLEDO BEND IN LA.

Some of you guys are giving OSU way too much credit. First off who have they played this year? The best team Michigan who beat florida who Lost to LSU. Okay who did OSU lose too? Illinois? WHO THE HECK IS ILLINOIS? I say LSU 35 OSU 21. LSU has more talent in their best playersFlynn( I actually think he is a good QB he has more brains than Perilloux) Hester( Hes A BEAST! I think he toted the whole Tennesse Defense one time in the SEC championship game, I dont think Glen Dorsey is really all that good everyitme LSU starts to lose he mysteriously gets hurt hmmm? Craig Steltz the best darn safety around. LSU is too much for OSU to handle. OSU has had a easy season. If you think OSU is gonna win you may be right but it will be really close the whole game I say the tigers D keeps them under 21 points. Rember OSU is 0-8 in bowl games against the SEC. SEC is the best conference in College football.

Okay well I have alwyas used hard bait until now. I tried using a ribit frog and well I sucked. So i want to move into using soft plastics, worms,brush hogs,senkos, you name it. I would like to know when and how to fish different kinds of soft plastics. thanks

how do you guys present a ribit frog. I mean how do you fish it and rig it. I have some Mr.Blitz Toad Toters hooks, and havent had any luck fishing them at all. Even when cleaning a bas a frog come out they still would not hit the frog.

It dove about 4ft max. All I rember was that the ring you tied to was on top of the bait. But im gonna get a custom from those guys that were recomended( CLU).

this is an rapala and its old. Its actually a saltwater bait I will check those guys ouyt.

Hey Catt I live in the Alexandria area of Louisiana. We have a local bass club chapter and I am thinking of joining.

Anyone know of any JR tourneys in Louisiana. I wont fish any thisd year as I am too late to do any serious preperation( I was hunting okay) but Im gonna look into it for the 2009-2010 season any help with that. Oh yeah Ill be 17 turning 18 will I just need to start with Amateur tourneys if that is the case any amateur tourneys in LA?

Okay well we were at the hunting camp for the past few weeks and I decided to see if I could pull some bass outa the stocked pond the owner had stocked about 4 summers ago. I slaughtered the bass on a BLACK back and White belly with Red eyes RAPALA Stick bait 3 treb hooks. Well the next week my cousin lost this 'lucky' bait and I am p-oed because I cant find anymore of them. My dad bogut it a while while back and it is actually a saltwater bait does anyone know someone who handles old/discountinued RAPALA or anyother baits so I can get a few more.
