  1. For me its the Jackell cross tail shad
  2. I would call it blood clot
  3. By far the best shakey head I have used is made by Secret Weapons. . They have a football head with a pivot dimple that lets you rock it .
  4. I believe you are mistaken on the blackout on all info for the tournement. It says in the rules that anything posted to the public is allowable , they list newspapers and the internet as permissable resources.Anything that is not public knowledge is subject to blackout
  5. senkos, senkos and senkos 3 4 and 5 inch on spinning tackle 6 lb flouro just came in 9th place on a b.a.s.s tourny as a nonboater using them.
  6. My vote goes to the Rattle Head Spinner Bait, awesome spinner bait.It will only take a pro to win something with them and look out you better have them before that happens. It has a unique sound and an excellent hook up to landing ratio because of the free swinging hook. Oh did I mention that the bass inhaled the bait I saw no need for a trailer hook.
  7. It's called market saturation. As long as there are people willing to pay the higher price that is where it stays. When sales start to dip so do the prices.
  8. Try this trick cut the weed guard off, attatch a hitch hiker bait holder to the eye of the jig screw in your favorite soft plastic craw and Texas rig the other end. It is still weedles without the weed guard interfering with the hook set.
  9. I use pork in water that is 45-50 degrees or below and plastic for for water temp above that. Pork has more action in colder water, one more thing I do is to scrape the pork trailer with a butter knive about a dozen times on each appendage this makes them even more supple.
  10. I bought some of these a while ago and was wondereing if anyone else has used them ? I have some success with them but not with bass. I've caught several walleyes and a muskie using them. The rep that sold them told me to tie the call on the line about 6 inches in front of a crankbait. I have only used them on crankbaits, if anyone has any other suggesstion I would love to hear them.
  11. I bought 2 today at Dicks Sporting Goods. They only had 2 sizes I got one each, I also was lucky to have a 25% off coupon. Hope they work.
  12. I live in western Pa where in most of the lakes bass are not the dominate preditor. They have to compete with the walleye ,muskie strippers and pike.My question is do these other preditors displace the bass from their text book spot to other areas? The reason I ask is that on one lake in paticular the largemouth move on the flats(3'to5') right after ice out while the water is still in the mid 30's when they have deeper water availible to them. Any thoughts on this subject?
  13. I would like to see a plastic crawl bait with oversized pinchers that float to mimic a crayfish in the defesive mode
  14. One point I would like to make is if you're a tourny fisherman a sensitive rod in most cases means a lighter rod and after a couple thousand casts I perfer the sensitive lighter rod.
  15. I bought a small electronic scale from the local head shop for $15.00 about a year ago . I got tired tring to guess the weights of all my related terminal tackle, jigs, spinners ect. (You would be surprised how much a jig weighs with a skirt on) After a couple of fishing tips I reorganise them in my box.
