  1. just whatever you would get.... its open for everything
  2. so i ordered some lures, and the total came to 41.00. with the shipping charge it will be 48.00 so i figured to buy some extra things and just get the free shipping after 50. i already have some ideas on what to get but i'm not totally sold on any of them. so my question is what would you get if you had to spend 10 more dollars? thanks
  3. ok then thats another question. what worms are bouyant? i was planning on using roboworms, zoom finesse worms, and others like that
  4. this year i want to start using the shaky head a lot more. i'm wondering what brand makes the best shaky head. i have a few of the strike kings but i've heard spot removers are good too. so i'm just wondering whats used the most
  5. the biggest smallmouth i've caught was on a dropshot... but i got a few big topwater baits and some new swimbaits to catch the hogs.
  6. i do'nt like fishing deep divers either. i would rather drop a worm or jig down deep.
  7. when you are fishing a lake and want to catch the biggest fish in the lake, what lures do you throw? and do you think the " bigger bait, bigger fish" theory is true. i plan to throw some bigger baits than i did last year
  8. its actually a guy named rodney hurst. i just posted to show the fish people catch on them. but i'm gonna catch that fish prespawn this year! he lives here in utah and makes his own swimbaits. check out my signature to see his stuff.
  9. he's a woodshop and a welding teacher who was building something he had leftover glass with. i hadn't thought about all that but i could probably sneak into some pools. i think it would be cool though to have some structure in it so i could see how it works in certain situations. but i'm sure i'll figure something out
  10. it would be cool to be sponsored, but i think a lot of the younger people want to get sponsored because its like competition. the younger guys always wanna be the best and get known. i used to think about how cool it would be to get sponsored, but i just like fishing and i do'nt need sponsors to help me with that.
  11. check out lakextackle.net its the only soft swimbait i will use and its a killer around here. he's got some awesome baits. they catch fish too
  12. a 19.3!?!?! thats redicilous. i do'nt know what i would do if i caught a fish over 15. thats crazy.
  13. it was 22 1/4" and 8 lbs. he caught it on a swimbait he makes. check out lakextackle.net to see what he's got. its always catching some big fish. i plan to do the exact same. fish the 85 fast and the 115 pretty slow. i can't wait until the spawn here with the big fish up shallow.
  14. yeah and i was thinking of putting some boulders in the bottom and maybe some tree branches or bushes to see how everything works in the structure
  15. this is the biggest smallie caught from utah just last season. it was 22 1/4" and 8lbs. caught on a swimbait he makes himself. lakextackle.net
  16. i was going to get a gunfish, but i already have a lot of pop-r's and things like that. maybe in the future though. it looks like a good bait. even though this guy is a friend, my goal is to beat this fish.
  17. he has all the plexi glass from some other project i guess. and i would just fill it with a garden hose. its not going to be very deep, just about 3 feet probably. i was making a lure on the lathe today and started talking to him about it and i wanted to see if it would swim but everywhere here is frozen. so he brought up making a pool to try stuff out in. thats how this whole idea came about.
  18. does anyone have a tank or pool they cast their lures in to see the action? i was talking to one of my friends today and he said it would be easy to make one. its going to be made out of plexi glass and be 25 feet long by 8 feet wide. just to cast around in and check the action of lures. i would sneak into a pool and try but its a bit too risky.
  19. my biggest is 17" and i didn't get a weight. but i guarantee to break that record. we have some huge smallies at my favorite lake. my largemouth was something like 18" caught up in idaho
  20. i have a question. who thinks they have caught the biggest bass on this forum. length or weight. largemouth or smallmouth. and do you have pictures to prove it?
  21. its only free for orders over 50 dollars though right?
  22. i made my order today and now i have a 85, 100, and 115. i also got another bait like the sammy that works better in windy conditions. its the same size as the 100. i plan to fish the 85 and 100 the most, but when i want to catch a HOG i'm gonna fish the 115. thanks again for all the input. so whats the biggest fish you've ever caught on a sammy?
  23. i ordered a bait from E-Bait about 2 weeks ago and it still hasn't come. but i ordered 4 baits from tackle warehouse today and it says they will be here tomorrow. i love that website
  24. i think i have it all figured out! finally. i'm going to keep the 115 and use it for fun fishing for the giants. then i'm getting a 100 for tournaments and when the situations ask for it. and i'm getting another "SAMMY" type lure that is better in chop conditions that is the same size as the 100. thanks for the help everyone
  25. yeah i'll use it there a lot. i'm gonna get a 100 and 115 probably because i'm gonna use the 115 for the big dogs. fun fishing
