Don't Let Cheap Tackle Let You Down
Braid has zero stretch, and jarring runs will bend lesser hooks.

Snot Grass
I'll answer.... I only t-rig around docks or submerged wood. Otherwise, nose hooked on a wacky hook. If the weeds are so bad, you can't get through, I use something else.

Mendon Ponds Park(Rochester Ny)
Temps have been on the steady rise, I've been catching all week, including Sunday in the monsoons. I only fished Mendon Ponds twice, from kayak both times. It seemed like a marginal bass fishery, with too many northerns.

Mcdonald's
Let me put this into perspective for you. I'm type 1 diabetic, neither caused or controlled by diet, but some studies show that 1 in 7 people are either prediabetic, or diabetic - type 2 diabetes, caused by poor diet, among other things. My costs out of pocket - and these are non negotiable, I need the drugs or I die a slow and painful death - are significant. Consider that my healthcare covers 70% of the costs, and you'll see where 1 in 7 and rising is indeed a scary stat. Insulin Pump: $2200 every three years Injection sets and pump supplies: $500 each quarter Insulin: $100 each month Blood Glucose Meter: $125 every year Strips for the meter: $100 each month Trips to docs and specialists (Endochrine, Derm, Internist, Pediatrist): $40 per visit, at least once a quarter That's just what I pay out of pocket. One in seven people have high blood sugar. In ten years it will be an EPIDEMIC. Now, do I think someone should tell McDonalds or BK that their food is bad? Heck no! Just make the info available to consumers (it's on the paper tray inserts), and start educating people how to use that info.

Baby Rage Craw
Kent, that's EXACTLY how I fish it. Great little bait - a nice downsized alternative to the regular craw.

Weeds
Wat I see mos beginners do is either throw the wrong baits into weeds, or they don't "feel" their baits through the weeds. For the most part, you aren't trying to rip them through the weeds, but sort feel them through. Instead of yanking, try popping the tip a a bit when you initially feel the weeds. There are exceptions, like ripping jigs or rattletraps of the tops of the weeds, but for the most part, you are gently hopping the baits through.

Drag??
Wow, it's not like stepping on the handle of a spring scale and pulling on the rod while the line is hooked to the scale is rocket science. Like I said, you get accustomed to what is "close" to right with experience. If you feel intuition and feel give you confidence, go for it. I do that too. And I often check it by hand. After a some time, it never hurts to measure how much you're using. I bet the number would surprise many that think they need 24 lb. of drag, LOL. I can pretty much guarantee you cannot pickup 24 lb. on the end of a 7' rod with one hand.
