Can you fish for pike right now in MI? in NY, they are off limits until the 1st Sat. in May. Doesn't mean you aren't going to catch them them, but targeting them is verboten. At any rate, I generally use musky size baits to fish for northerns.

Revo S respond really well to a simple cleaning and bearing flush. 9/10 times a bearing upgrade is superfluous. Without upgrading the spool, I don't think you'll realize all the performance of faster bearings on the water. Sitting on the bench is a different story.

You'd see it, maybe. Could just be a worn spool shaft, or beat up bearings.

Wobbly spool, bent spool shaft, too much/little oil in the bearings....that's a tough one.

Nothing is wrong with it. The engagement points on the pinion are slope to prevent stripping. What you hear is the spool cross lock, hopping over those engagement points. Keep doing this (not really EVER going to happen in real conditions) and you wear out another pinion gear.

Look up "bubba shotting."

My only advice, be careful, take it easy, and don't get frustrated. Oh, yeah, same for day light fishing

1. Find yourself a small kayak to fish these waters. 2. No lake is featureless. Find one small feature on a "featureless lake" and you'll find fish. 3. Choose your baits and tackle accordingly. 4. See 3. 5. I would not assume that crawfish is the only forage. Consider the bigger bass are eating the blue gills.

I was culling out 12" fish when I realized the lake had a 15" limit, LOL. I've never tossed the wrong fish back, but I've had all sorts of stuff happen at the livewell, and at boatside. Tilapia is the most common bass base forage, it 's everywhere, most of government run stocking programs are with tilapia and mirror carp, the intent is in theory to provide ejidatarios with a source of animal protein for them to consume and an alternative source of income ( by commercial fishing ) added to what they can obtain from farming. The lake is located in Jalisco, the town on Tepatitlán, 2 hours drive from my hometown. For buzzbaits and spinnerbaits, I use fish tank tubing (see link below), clip off a small amount as a ring, slide it over the r-bend and then clip on. I only have a few rods that are true "one trick ponies." Basically cranking rods and my drop shot rod. Everything else can do quite a few things, though I have developed preferences with each one. Some are dupes, Johnny like 7' MH/F rods

Takes me about the same amount of time to tie a clinch knot as it does to open and close a Duo-loc. I carry about 40 spinnerbaits, have about 150 at home. The only spinnerbaits I have that have a full twist are Musky baits.

Snaps with spinnerbaits? : Duo-Locs have worked fine with all hardbaits for me, #2 and #3 size suit most bass baits. I remove the split rings.
