frogs
That's absolutely right. In the case of both toads (like Ribbits) and frogs (like Spros), I find that so called frog rods are better at throwing frogs, than getting in a good hookset and extracting a fish from cover.

Things you believe could or should be banned...
There are guys in my club that throw nothing but a senko all day. That's it. They have no clue how to fish anything else.

Jigs
I bet you have gotten strikes on a jig, but you haven't learned to detect them. Lotsa articles up here on jig fishing. Biggest tips would be to watch your line, weigh and time your jig's fall, anything weird, set the hook hard. Some jig fish:

Learning the Senko...
You're over thinking a brainless technique. Literally. If its in the water, you're fishing it correctly.

Red Teeth
These are pond fish, Paul. As is this one from April 11, last year:

The biggest bass on the lightest line you caught! What bait?
5-4 smallie on 4# Trilene XL, back in the 90s. bait was a live softshell on a split shot rig. Last year, I caught a 5-0 smallie using 15# braid, and 4# CFX leader. Drop shot 4" Power Worm in your favorite color was the bait. I'm trying to think of some light line largemouth, but none stick out in my memory, though I'm sure I've had a few decent fish in the mix.

Couple photos for you guys....
Yeah, collecting dust....bought it for baseball, but found I really couldn't enjoy watching my son play from behind the lens. I use my 17-40, 100 Macro, and 10-22 more than all the others combined. And BTW, Tippi Hedron is a Hitchcock reference, LMAO....had to look her name up.

Couple photos for you guys....
Veteran move Most guys will simply shoot these fast, long primes wide open, with no regard for depth of field. Your pictures clearly show intelligent aperture settings. The sharpness of the images is nice and tight, too. Its the difference between good gear taking the shot, and a good photographer making a beautiful picture. Very nice stuff!

biggest explosion?
There is a local lake, basically a deep trench, with big ledge at about 24-30'. Walking baits at dusk is pretty much a guaranteed smallmouth bite as the sun slips below the hills. You may get bit beating the banks, but the best is walking them over 60-70'. They come rocketing out there, and just blast the baits.

Ouch!
I wish they'd add a trout stamp here. That way, trout funds could be aligned with actual trout anglers, not political groups.

Spinning reel "mag" spools?
Hardly. They just released a new baitcaster. My buddy has one, and he loves it. http://www.usreel.com/

Matzuo hooks
I use their octopus hooks in #6, #8 and #10 for steelhead, salmon and browns.

Hard Jerkbaits
Pointer DD. It'll do that for you, if you give a few straight, steady cranks to get to depth.

Yesterdays catch....
Good to see your posts again, Fish! I was just up at your site a few days ago checking out the pics, very nice. If you're ever in my neck of the woods, there's an open seat for some shooting and fishing for dinks
