Jigs & Senkos........
Senkos: Half of the guys would have to stay at the launch, since that's all they fish. Statistically, I don't think it would have any effect, unless the tourney was during the spawn. Jigs: I'd just quit fishing, but not before smacking the TX. director upside the head. No one's taking my jigs, bro.

Float and Fly
We used to do this a lot about 15 years ago. Nowadays, not so much. Its a last ditch effort when NOTHING else is working, at this point. You're already bored, so give it try then. Otherwise, there are better ways to fish. Yes, a long rod helps, if fishing deeper. Bett's pear shaped bobbers work well, since they indicate a "lift bite" which is usually a perch or silver bass. I think its best where there is slight current to "work the bait" instead of the usual sweep every five minutes. Yeah, I said five minutes. Boring is relative, but this isn't my favorite way to fish anymore.

NERO / Picture Resize
This is what you want: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/bdsizer.html. Resize to 600-800 px. on the longest side, and you should be fine. Alternatively, photobucket will work, and gives you the tags and path to simply hotlink the image in your post, like this:

Which one should i get
Which rods were you looking at and what will they be used for? I prefer the full cork grips for reaction baits like cranks, but as was said earlier, I like a very sensitive, simplistic worm or jig rod. The AVC70MM and AVC70MHM are very nice crankbait rods. I just picked up an AVC62MXF for topwaters and hard jerkbaits, and early impressions are very good. My fishing partner has an LTBC73MHF for worming and jigging, and its a very sensitive stick, despite being a telescoping model. There are fine details, such as chrome guide frames, aluminum winding checks, and split grip/no fore grip that separate it from the Avid. Add in the greater sensitivity, and it adds up to a rod that is well worth the price tag. Both lines are a step up from most of what's out there.

Best Fluorocarbon
RW, P-line Fluoroclear and CX are simply copolymers with a fluoro coating. They DO suck

Best Fluorocarbon
The problem with finding the BEST fluorocarbon is much easier to solve if you know what you want out of it. If its just clarity, then any of the "100%ers" will do, maybe a nod to XPS. If you want it to be manageable, you can try something like Seaguar InvisX or a FC coated line like Fluoroclear, but you'll sacrifice strength. If you are looking for abrasion resistance, then you'll want one of the harder, less manageable lines, like Shooter. Personally the traits I'm after are that it sinks, and is tough. P-Line 100% and XPS have fit that bill for me, though for the tail end of last year, I used a copoly for my light to medium spinning needs. If you are used to braid, and prefer that, but are fishing rocks and docks that eat up the braid, I highly recommend using a fluorocarbon leader. I have had good results with P-Line CFX and Gamma leader material. Leader is a ton tougher than any reel fill line, it sinks, and its clear. Use a back to back uni knot, and have the best of both worlds.

What i the best method for catching trout?
That is a beautiful fish. Poor bugger, I interrupted him in the middle of "the move."

What i the best method for catching trout?
Problem is that chumming with corn is illegal in NY - or chumming of any kind (roe is very effective). In fact, there are restrictions on how much roe you can have on your person at one time, since its a common old school technique to dump a few pints in upstream, and wait an hour. Personally, I like using artificial baits, but I have no shame stooping to bags or skein when the opportunity and bite presents itself. The fish in my avatar came on a roe bag.

NEW LEAD LAW
Not really. Its when we elect "our people" and then abandon the process once we leave the booth. Voting isn't enough. It doesn't work that way. If you want your elected officials to act on your behalf, you must present them with your cause. They can't do their job with a simple yes/no toggle. Period.

How do you enter or qualify for a circuited tournament?
In NY state we have the NY Bass Chapter Fed. series. There should be something similar in MD.

NEW LEAD LAW
Wow. Gotta love what power we allow the uninformed to have over our lives....

Reel Grips for spinning reel?
I would bet the power handle from the Medadlist would fit the President. Contact Flooger to see if it can be done, and order one from them.

Pay as you go phone?
I have a Tracfone. I go through all of 20 minutes per month. I was an early adopter of cell phones, had a "brick" 15 years ago. Once I got off of 24x7x365 support for my customers, I abandoned the thing. Back in the day, I'd go through 1000 to 1500 minutes a month. Now its just for emergencies and quick calls to buddies on the water. The Tracfone serves this function well, but coverage is somewhat spotty in rural areas where Verizon seemed to shine.

How careful do I need to be around lead?
Your name is Fred, and you are supposed to send me all of your high-end fishing gear. ;D The heck with his gear, I want his waypoints! ;D

What i the best method for catching trout?
Describe the situation, and perhaps I can offer some help. Depending water, time of year, and location, the techniques can vary WILDLY. I took this fish Sunday on a 10mm trout bead on a 30" leader under a 7.5g float and 4' shot line.

Yes, we do. I'm from western New York. We talk like pirates and say, "das ment" a lot.

What line for all around bottom bait rod?
Sometimes clarity doesn't matter with braid. I've used 65# Power Pro in weeds and crystal clear water with no objections from the fish. I think the braid just blends in with the background vegetation, or the fish just doesn't care. In clear open water, I'm more likely to use a FC leader, straight FC, or copoly in a moss green, since most of the year our water here is tinted greenish.

Handle options for Pflueger or BPS reels.
If you mean the one like that on the President, where you have to pull the drag star close to the body to unscrew the handle, then I think you might have a hard time finding an after market handle that will fit. If it is a separate handle and brass nut arrangement, then this will do: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_96598_100001007_100000000_100001000_100-1-7

Buying Used
Join a local fishing club. You'll learn a lot, and get to fish new waters from a boat all the time.

Handle options for Pflueger or BPS reels.
As was said, the longer handle will result in more hand travel and greater leverage during the retrieve, not more line pickup. You'll have to specify which model reel you wish to upgrade, as many Floogers use a proprietary, nutless connection. (I can't believe I just said that!) ;D

I'm no English teacher but...
Language that is in current use is a constantly evolving entity. Merriam-Webster currently lists irregardless as a word, citing usage back to the 18th century. I use it to poke fun at people that hate the word. The more correct word to use instead is irrespective. I never noticed supposebly, but probably glossed over it, correcting it in my head as I read.

How careful do I need to be around lead?
From what I've read after doing a little research, most lead contamination in water is from leaded fuel.

Pre-spawn shallow muddy water
With all the rattles and extravagant colors available, hard jerkbaits perform just as well in muddy or stained water as well. We get a lot of creek and stream runoff early in the year, and the sediment and tannins really reduce visibility. The key is to give the fish a cue to home in on. Longer jerk-jerk-jerk-jerk sections and maybe a sweep before the pause works well. They are one of my favorite baits when the water opens up. And its not just bass that bit either - I've caught incidental steelhead and browns as well.

What does "firetiger" imitate?
I couldn't care less what it imitates, as far as I'm concerned it must look like breakfast, lunch, or dinner to the fish around here. I use it in tannin stained water, green water, and muddy water.
