  1. You put this in the wrong forum.
  2. Those don't catch anything, lol.
  3. I'm only 42, going on 5. Perpetually going on 5.
  4. Tackle choices are dictated by bait size, cover, and to various extent, some other factors, like depth, clarity, gear preference. Casting technique is dictated by where and how you want to place your bait.
  5. Back in the day, that was all they could fit on vinyl. Look at Permanent Waves - 5 songs, plus that turd "Different Strings," lol.
  6. I'd agree with that, too. There are baits that I know exactly what they are going to do. I guess I always chalked that up to experience, not confidence. Maybe I'm confident in my experience? I really dislike the way "confidence" is thrown around as a key factor to catching. It offers little help in broadening success. Trust in your equipment, problem solve, trial and error....those are my confidence baits.
  7. Not really, 15# braid sounds like a nightmare on a baitcaster with dig ins. I'd go 30# or better, but really, I'd prefer something like 6 or 8# fluoro, like Tatsu.
  8. Very Good! That mayor was a sheister!
  9. You got the answer to the pork question.... As far as trailers on buzzbaits - yes, I use a trailer. Looks like this:
  10. He sold that rod to get Aunt B. a housecoat for her birthday.
  11. Not really, though I have baits and rigs I dislike.... <cough-cough> Carolina Rig.
  12. I don't find much comfort in the idea of "confidence baits," or that confidence buys you bites. I become confident through success. Success is defined in catches. Good knots, reliable gear, baits that do what you want them to do....that's what I'm confident in. Everything else is a part of the puzzle.
  13. Yeah, that's a problem. Most of the hard core guys have two or three. One for salmon, one for general use, and one smaller one for little tribs. I just switch the reel over to different rods.
  14. We don't take companies threatening members with lawsuits lightly. Whenever that company is brought up, I expose her behavior towards potential customers.
  15. You really only need one reel, so guys that pin will often go high end.
  16. They get used plenty outside of CA.
  17. Good move! You can make your own with better quality parts, as well. Plus, I already have hitchhikers and BB swivels in my box, and probably a few dozen wasted spinnerbaits that I scavenge blades from.
  18. I wouldn't spend one single penny on Talon anything. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/17299-prop-jig/?hl=+talon%20+lures
  19. It take around 20 years of replacement blades for me to get out of those as I get out of these: http://www.basspro.com/William-Joseph-Hemocuts/product/71957/
  20. In case anyone is wondering what we're talking about....
